    Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a method comprising estimating a velocity vector that is experienced by an apparatus; reporting to a network element, NE, the velocity vector; receiving from the NE at least one primary reference signal, RS, which will be experienced during a predicted trajectory, and at least one secondary RS that will potentially be experienced during the predicted trajectory; sending to the NE feedback based on the at least one primary RS and the at least one secondary RS; and sending an update of the velocity vector to the NE.

    Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, a method comprising: receiving, by a user equipment of a communication network, information comprising a random access channel configuration and a number of cycled beams; determining a number of random access channel occasions for a random access channel occasion group; transforming synchronization signal blocks to a beam index given the number of cycled beams and associating beams with the number of random access channel occasions of the random access channel occasion group; identifying a random access channel occasion group associated with the beam index; selecting at least one preamble associated with the beam index in the random access channel occasion group; and transmitting the at least one preamble within each of the number of random access channel occasions of the random access channel occasion group to perform a random access channel procedure.

    Abstract: Various techniques are provided for a method including triggering, by a user equipment (UE), a resource block (RB) offset allocation determination, detecting, by the UE, at least one of a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) in a received synchronization signal (SS) block (SSB), reading, by the UE, a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) parameter and a signaled offset from a master information block of a PBCH of the SSB, determining, by the UE, an RB offset based on the PBCH parameter and the signaled offset, and determining, by the UE, a control resource set frequency location based on the RB offset.
