摘要: Methods, apparatuses and computer program products for configuring a discontinuous reception pattern for a receiver of a wireless communication device. In accordance with an embodiment, the method includes obtaining two or more discontinuous reception patterns for a wireless communication device to be used in sidelink communication with one or more user devices; selecting at least one discontinuous reception pattern from the two or more discontinuous reception patterns for the wireless communication device; and receiving signals from the one or more other devices and/or transmitting signals to the one or more other devices for the sidelink communication according to the selected at least one discontinuous reception pattern.

摘要: This document discloses a solution for modulating and demodulating signals transferred over a communication channel. According to an aspect, a method comprises: storing a database for mapping rules for mapping a block of N bits into M modulation symbol phase transitions, wherein a phase transition between consecutive modulation symbols is limited to less than or equal to ∓π/2, wherein M is smaller than N, and wherein M is the smallest number required for realizing 2N different phase-transition combinations; determining an initial phase; acquiring a block of N bits and modulating the block of N bits into M phase symbol transitions from the initial phase by using bit values of the block of N bits and the mapping rules, thus acquiring M modulation symbols; performing said determining, acquiring, and modulating for further blocks of N bits, thus acquiring a sequence of K modulation symbols; allocating the sequence of K modulation symbols to sub-carriers of a multi-carrier symbol and causing transmission of the multi-carrier symbol over a radio interface.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for adaptive backoff for random access channel (RACH). The method comprises: transmitting, at a first device and to a second device, a first message for requesting a first random access to a cell of the second device, resources of the cell being partitioned into a plurality of partitions for a plurality of features, and the first random access associated with a first partition for at least a first feature of the plurality of features; and receiving, from the second device, a second message comprising backoff information corresponding to one of the first feature and the first partition. Since the network is capable of providing backoff applicability information per features or per RACH partitions, the UE using a congested RACH partition can apply backoff in the RA procedure, while accessing of legacy UE or a UE using a RACH partition without congestion would not be affected.
