摘要： A vent apparatus for cooperating with duct work associated with an exhaust fan to enable air to be exhausted from an interior room of a dwelling to the exterior environment. The vent apparatus includes a base member and a cover member releasably securable to the base member. The base member includes an attaching portion having a plurality of locking portions, while the cover member includes a plurality of flexible latching arm members which releasably engage the locking portions when the cover member is placed over the attaching portion. The attaching portion includes an enlarged opening which enables air exhausted from an interior room to be directed out between the base and cover members to the exterior atmosphere. The apparatus is particularly well-adapted to be used with vinyl or aluminum siding and is relatively inexpensive to construct, light-weight and easy to install. In an alternative embodiment, the apparatus includes a screen adapted to be secured to the base member. The screen has dimensions which enable it to fit within the cover member so as not to be visible once the cover is installed on the base member. The screen prevents insects and small mammals from entering through the base member. The screen is secured to the base member via a plurality of locking arm members which engage within openings formed in the base member such that the screen can be "snapped" onto the base member without special tools or external fastening elements such as threaded screws or the like.

摘要： A component shutter having a plurality of end caps for closing off the outermost longitudinal ends of each of a pair of side rails of the shutter and providing a decorative, finished appearance to the outermost longitudinal ends of each of the side rails. The end caps comprise a top portion and a tongue portion, with the tongue portion being sized to fit within a pocket formed between the side rail and either a top or bottom end rail. The tongue portion is slidably inserted into the pocket. The end cap forms a finished appearing edge surface for an end of the side rail of the shutter.

摘要： For use in a decorative molding system comprising thin flexible plastic molding strips having clips thereon and flexible tracks engaged by the clips, a plastic corner member provided between the adjacent plastic molding strips and forming a corner for receiving a pair of the plastic molding strips having free ends with their longitudinal axis forming an angle at a corner of a room. The plastic corner member comprises a one piece plastic body having side walls intersecting at substantially the same angle as the angle formed by the edges of said ends of adjacent plastic molding strips. Each wall has substantially the same undulating cross sectional configuration as the adjacent plastic molding strips. Each wall has an upper free edge, a lower free edge and a vertical free edge, an outer surface and an inner surface. A flexible plastic clip is attached to each the wall. Each clip has first end and a second free end. The first end is attached to its respective wall intermediate the upper free edge of the wall and the lower free edge of the wall and the second free end of the clip is attached to each the wall extending at an acute angle to the wall of the corner member from the point of attachment. Each free end of each clip on the wall of the corner member interengages the track and holds the corner member in contact with the adjacent molding strips.

摘要： A wall mounting bracket comprising a plastic body which includes a wall having an integral projection facing outwardly with a centering recess to receive the tip of a hole saw or the like. At least one opening is provided through the wall adjacent the projection. Preferably, a plurality of openings are provided at equally spaced radial locations adjacent the projection. In use, the body is mounted on the building and then siding is applied to the wall of the building and the edges of the siding or brought into closely adjacent relation with the plastic body. 摘要： A roof vent comprising a one piece plastic body including a base wall having transversely spaced rows of integral vanes extending from one surface thereof. The vanes of adjacent rows are positioned such that the vanes define a sinuous path. Preferably, one of each of the rows has the wings extending at an acute angle to the axis of the wall and the other row of each set of rows has the wings extending at an oppositely directed acute axis to the longitudinal axis of the wall toward the wings of the one row. Thus air is vented through sinuous paths outwardly when the vent is positioned with the wings engaging the roof and the base wall spaced from the roof. Water and snow are prevented by the wings from entry beneath the vent into the building.

The flange member and the peripheral wall include interengaging portions for selectively positioning the flange member at predetermined distances which respect to the flange on the body to accommodate siding of varying thickness.
