    摘要: The present invention provides a fastening device for a LED light string of a backlight module, including a LED light string and a frame, the LED light string being configured with a substrate and a plurality of LEDs mounted onto the substrate, wherein at least a retainer is incorporated on the substrate, and the frame being provided with a notch matchable with the retainer such that the LED light string can be securely attached to the frame. The retainer can be made individually, and a SMT process is utilized to attach the retainer of the fastening device on the backside of the LED light string. With this convenient arrangement, a lot of manufacturing processes have been omitted. The LED light string and the frame can be modulated, and the overall configuration of the module is simplified. In addition, with the retainer readily snapped into the notch of the frame, a distance between to the LED light emitting surface to the frame is also reduced, and this helps to realize the design of narrow-boarder of the liquid crystal display.

    摘要: The present invention provides a backlight module including a waveguide, a backboard, and a light source, wherein the waveguide is disposed onto the backboard, and the light source is arranged adjacent to a light incident surface of the waveguide, wherein the backlight module includes at least a limiter securely disposed onto the backboard and abuts against to the light source so as to ensure a preset distance between the light source and the incident surface of the waveguide. According to the backlight module and the liquid crystal display, by providing the limiter of the backlight module to abut against the light source, the coupling distance between the light source and the incident surface of the waveguide can be effectively kept constant without being compromised to zero (0) as resulted from expansion under heat or moisture or the accuracy during installation. By this arrangement, the leakage of the backlight module can be readily prevented. In addition, in order to have the limiter readily made as well as reducing the cost, the limiter can be made as a standard part so as to be implemented on the liquid crystal display with different dimension.

    摘要: The present invention provides a side-edge backlight module, which includes a backplane, a backlight source arranged inside the backplane, and a light guide plate arranged inside the backplane. The backplane and the backlight source receive an aluminum-extruded heat sink arranged therebetween. The aluminum-extruded heat sink includes a first mounting section and a second mounting section perpendicularly connected to the first mounting section. The backlight source is mounted on the first mounting section. The first mounting section forms a slope surface at a location close to the second mounting section. The slope surface is arranged to extend from connection of the first and second mounting sections toward the backlight source. The side-edge backlight module forms a slope surface at a lower end of the first mounting section of the aluminum-extruded heat sink to eliminate potential interference issue of assembling occurring in the known techniques.
