    Abstract: A backlight module comprises a back plate, a light-guiding plate arranged at the back plate and a light source module. The light-guiding plate has an incident surface and an emitting surface connected to each other. The light source module has a base board and at least one light-emitting unit. The base board is disposed at the emitting surface of the light-guiding plate. The light-emitting unit is mounted at the base board and faces the incident surface of the light-guiding plate. The base board comprises an electrically-connecting portion and at least one heat dissipation portion. The electrically-connecting portion is electrically connected to the light-emitting unit. The heat dissipation portion extends from the electrically-connecting portion toward a direction away from the light-guiding plate without being electrically connected to the light-emitting unit. A display device having the backlight module is also provided.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a liquid crystal panel configured to display an image; a light guide plate provided behind the liquid crystal panel in a first direction; a light source module adjacent to a side surface of the light guide plate, the light source module including a plurality of light sources arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and configured to emit light toward the side surface of the light guide plate; a rear chassis provided behind the light guide plate in the first direction; and a heat dissipation member coupled to the rear chassis and configured to dissipate heat generated by the light source module, wherein the heat dissipation member may include: a first heat dissipation member contacting the light source module; and a second heat dissipation member spaced apart from the first heat dissipation member by a gap in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.

    Abstract: A LED lighting system includes a power supply, a LED controller, and a light guide plate having a top, a bottom, and an edge. A printed circuit board connected to the power supply is positioned at least partially under the bottom of the light guide plate. At least one surface-emitting LED is positioned on the printed circuit board adjacent to the light guide plate and directed to emit light vertically. A partially transmissive reflector is attached to extend between the top of the edge of the light guide plate and the printed circuit board to direct vertically emitted light from the at least one surface-emitting LED into the edge of the light guide plate.

    Abstract: An electronic device adapted for an expansion card is provided. The electronic device includes a main board and a light guide heat dissipation module. The main board includes a connector and a light source disposed beside the connector. The light guide heat dissipation module is detachably disposed on a position of the main board near the connector and is adapted to be thermally coupled to the expansion card inserted in the connector. The light guide heat dissipation module includes a first heat dissipation member, a second heat dissipation member thermally coupled to the first heat dissipation member, and a first light guide member disposed between the first heat dissipation member and the second heat dissipation member. The first heat dissipation member includes an opening, and the opening exposes a portion of the first light guide member. When the light guide heat dissipation module is disposed on the main board, light emitted by the light source is adapted to be guided by the first light guide member to the opening of the first heat dissipation member.
