Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosure, a method that involves keeping state of a video workout program may include communicatively coupling a server in a cloud network to an exercise machine through a first network connection, communicatively coupling the server to a network device through a second network connection, the server providing a video workout program to the exercise machine for execution at the exercise machine to enable a user to perform at 1 east a portion of a workout of the video workout program on the exercise machine, the server keeping state of the video workout program during execution of the video workout program based on inputs from the exercise machine and the network device, and taking an action based on the state. The action may include synchronizing multiple displays, adaptively scaling the video workout program, and/or generating and providing an exercise machine control command to the exercise machine.

Abstract: A magnetic clutch transitions a drivetrain or flywheel between a freewheel or unlocked mode or configuration and a locked or fixed gear mode or configuration. The magnetic clutch includes a rotor rotationally fixed to the pedals of the drivetrain. An armature is connected to the flywheel. A field coil generates a magnetic field which causes the armature to move to the flywheel. Friction between the armature and the rotor rotationally fixes the flywheel to the rotor.

Abstract: An adjustable kettlebell includes a cradle safety mechanism and a kettlebell safety mechanism. The cradle safety mechanism includes a position sensor that detects whether the kettlebell is in the cradled position and prevents a motor from rotating to change the weight of the kettlebell if the kettlebell is in the uncradled position. The kettlebell safety mechanism includes a dial retractable into the handle of the kettlebell. When the dial is retracted into the kettlebell, a selection mechanism cannot be rotated to change a weight of the kettlebell.
