    Abstract: The insert is metallic and has a first coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), the insert comprising an outer wall of a first retaining feature; and an undercut shape formed exterior to the outer wall of the first retaining feature such that there is a groove between the outer wall of the first retaining feature and the undercut shape. A composite component having a second CTE different from the first CTE, wherein the insert including the groove is at least partially within the composite component when the composite component is being formed, such that the difference in the first CTE and the second CTE causes the groove between the outer wall of the first retaining feature and the undercut shape of the insert to contract about the composite component to provide a compression to a portion of the composite component within the groove.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a crank quick-connection structure. The crank quick-connection structure is used for connecting a crank with a main shaft, and includes an adapter and a connecting assembly. The adapter is connected to the main shaft, one end of the crank is provided with a cooperating cavity extending in a thickness direction thereof, and the adapter penetrates the cooperating cavity from one end of the cooperating cavity. The connecting assembly is connected to the adapter, and the connecting assembly has a locking position and a releasing position. In the locking position, the crank cooperates with the connecting assembly so that the cooperating cavity and the adapter are locked and connected; and in the releasing position, the crank is disengaged from the connecting assembly so that the crank can be disengaged from the adapter in an axial direction of the adapter.

    Abstract: A balance bike conversion system may include first and second protective inserts, each having an interface adapted to engage opposite ends of a bicycle bottom bracket.     Abstract: Tool-free bicycle components include a pedal assembly with pedals shipped in “folded” positions and rotated by hand into locked “open” positions for riding. A locking member nests in an axle notch to rotationally lock the pedals in place. A stem-fork assembly includes a fork unit having a fork post with a slidable compression ring covering a spring-biased stem locking member. The fork post is inserted into a stem tube of a stem unit, pushing the ring down and exposing the stem locking member, which can then “snap” into the stem tube to lock the fork unit with the stem unit. A training wheel assembly includes a mounting unit having a spring member with a bendable engagement end. When a wheel support with engagement slot is inserted into the mounting unit, the spring member snaps into the engagement slot to lock the training wheel support in place.
