摘要： A tethered golf ball return device is disclosed which includes an elongated tube member with a piston disposed therein, the front end of which piston is attached to the golf ball's tether line and a pull cord is attached to the rear of the piston such that when the golf ball is struck by a golfer, the tether line pulls the piston forward which forward movement is resisted by air pressure within the tube member and which golf ball can be returned to the vicinity of the golfer by manual pulling of the pull cord which action causes the piston to return to its original location within the tube member.

摘要： A batting practice apparatus having a lower support base with a vertically disposed upright support assembly with at least one horizontally disposed extension arm located over a conventional home plate. A tethered suspended ball simulating a baseball in appearance is located near the end of the arm over a lower home plate. The ball may be suspended from different arm positions correlated to the different home plate positions for different simulated thrown balls after they have passed over different parts of a lower home plate within the "strike zone". Added features include a counter for counting the number of ball rotations for struck balls around its their section arm extensions and height adjustments for the extension arms relative to the upright support. A motor may impart motion to the suspended baseball to simulate a thrown ball in flight as the batter attempts to strike it. To tone muscles while striking a simulated or actual baseball, a second larger and heavier suspended ball may be hung from another arm inserted in different positions on the upright support assembly.

摘要： The disclosed invention is a means of physical training in the area of developing explosive leg power and improving hand to eye coordination. The invention is comprised of a tethered ball or other object which is attached to a tether, the tether being mounted to a supportive structure. The object can, in some variations, be adjusted according to various heights or distance away from the supportive structure. The user typically jumps up and interacts with the object (ball) to perform a variety of skill functions such as basketball "tip-ins" or "rebounds". The tether limits the displacement of the object from the supportive member, which in the case of basketball would likely be a basketball goal. Many times the tether includes an elastic component that stores energy when the object is displaced by the user. The object, when released, will then react in a ballistic manner necessitating repeated jumps of the user to again grasp the object while incorporating and thus developing hand to eye coordination and physical condition of the user, while also increasing the sport-specific skill of the user.

摘要： A batting practice device is attachable to any of various existing permanent fixtures. The device includes a mounting bracket attachable to the fixture, the bracket supporting a receiving tube. The tube has two opposing openings for interlockably receiving a rod with a portion extending from the bracket in a cantilevered horizontal fashion. A first metal support plate is transversely mounted on the rod portion extending from the bracket. A tire has a tread face and an inside wall. The tread face abuts the metal plate. A second metal support plate is located on the inside wall aligned with the first plate as to sandwich and support the tire for hitting the tire with a bat.

摘要： A new Tether Ball Safety Cover for offering a tether ball cover to prevent injury caused by contact with the tether ball eye loop or rope retaining knot. The inventive device includes a tether ball, a conical shaped protector, inner Velcro strips, and outer Velcro strips. In use, referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, the conical shaped protector 14 is slid onto the rope 16. Then the rope 16 is threaded through the tether ball eye loop 40 and the rope retaining knot 18 is tied into the end of the rope 16 to prevent the rope 16 from slipping back through the tether ball eye loop 40. Lastly, the conical shaped protector 14 is slid down to engage the tether ball 12, mating inner Velcro strips 28 with outer Velcro strips 26, thereby removably holding the assembly together and therefore providing a shield to prevent injury causing contact with the tether ball eye loop 40 or the rope retaining knot 18.

摘要： A portable sports target frame is described for numerous sports games in which a projectile such as a ball or puck is used. The target frame includes an elongated cross member with uprights mounted at opposed ends. The uprights are mounted by an angular adjustment that enables selective pivotal adjustment of the uprights to positions simulating different sports targets. The cross member is held in the selected angular position by a parallelogram linkage including base standards and a parallel stabilizing link mounting the elongated cross member to a base for pivotal movement while maintaining the uprights in selected angular orientations. A latch is mounted between the linkage and base to permit selective angular positioning of the base standard relative to a platform. A ball or other projectile may be mounted to the platform by a tether which includes an elastic part secured to the projectile and an inelastic part extending to the projectile. The tether is long enough to allow the projectile to be thrown, kicked, or struck into a net suspended between the uprights. The elastic part is provided to return the projectile to the user.

摘要： A golf practice apparatus includes an upper platform having a tee and a target located forwardly of the tee; a golf ball arranged at the tee above the platform for striking towards the target area, the golf ball having one end of a tether attached thereto, the tether extending through a slot in the upper platform with the other end of the tether being secured to elastic bands anchored to a lower platform at a location rearwardly of the tee area; and a plurality of bearings located in the tee area and supported on the lower platform, and arranged so that the tether engages at least two of the plurality of bearings. The tether has a sleeve attached thereto which is adapted to engage the lower surface of the upper platform, and thereby generate friction between the upper platform and the sleeve when the ball is struck. The combination of a plurality of bearings and a friction sleeve provides significant braking forces to slow down the flight of the ball, and to control return of the ball for a subsequent shot. The apparatus also provides for various adjustments to permit simulation of various golf shots and various lies of the ball.

The ball returning assembly includes a tubular member consisting of an upper elastomeric section and a lower rigid section, a spring position in the tubular member, and a connecting member. A tennis ball is pre-drilled in its diameter before it is mounted to the ball returning assembly. The connecting member passes through the holes of the ball until an enlarged head end of the member grips the surface of the ball. A first end of the spring is attached to a tail end of the connecting member and the second end of the spring is attached to the lower end of the lower rigid section. The tube has a engaging means, in the form of a knob in an upper portion of the tube to clamp releasably the ball returning means.
