摘要： A system for determining and generating a graphic visualization of a ball flight parameter includes: a ball flight tracking system configured to detect a ball in flight, the ball flight tracking system detecting seam orientation; a processor coupled to the ball flight tracking system and configured to determine a hemisphere plane angle and seam angle of the ball in flight and to determine a coefficient of a seam shifted wake force based on the determined hemisphere plane angle and seam angle, the processor further configured to calculate the seam shifted wake force based on the determined coefficient of the seam shifted wake force for multiple locations on the ball, and generate a visualization of the seam shifted wake force on the multiple locations on the ball; and an output device coupled to the processor to output the visualization of the seam shifted wake force on the ball to enhance pitch analysis and accurate pitch design.

The method is executed by a motion monitoring system having at least one computer and at least one inertial sensor for sensing movement of the individual. The method involves the at least one computer receiving inertial sensor data from the at least one inertial sensor during execution of the athletic throwing motion by the individual, analyzing the athletic throwing motion by determining at least one metric from the inertial sensor data, and generating constructive feedback regarding the athletic throwing motion based on the at least one metric. The constructive feedback can for example be biofeedback and/or a prescription for a set of exercises. The constructive feedback can help the individual improve upon the athletic throwing motion. Also disclosed is a motion monitoring system.

An information processing device includes a processor that executes: (a) continuously measuring, according to either or both of output signals from a motion sensor and a force plate, a posture of a batter who is practicing batting with a tee; (b) determining, according to an output signal from a force sensor internally stored in the tee, a timing at which the batter hits a ball placed at the tee; (c) determining, as a hitting posture of the batter, a posture of the batter at the determined timing; and (d) outputting a message instructing the batter to change the batter's hitting posture, according to information indicating an exemplary hitting posture and information indicating the determined batter's hitting posture.
