    摘要: A tamper evident closure construction is provided for use with a container of the type having a neck with a discharge orifice therein. The tamper evident closure construction includes a dispenser cap and a unitary, one-piece, tamper evident closure cover. The dispenser cap includes a base connected to the neck and a dispensing portion connected to the base. The tamper evident closure cover consists of an overcap and a container closure cap separated by frangible webs which, when permanently disengaged, allow access to the dispensing portion and provide a visual indication of tampering. The container closure cap is fastened directly to the neck of the container and includes a breakaway tamperband, or alternatively, a snap-fit abutment arrangement, which provides an indication of attempts to remove the container closure cap from the neck. The skirt of the container closure cap is directly coupled to the neck of the container, and includes an annular bead on an inside surface and an annular flange which cooperate to secure and seal the base of the dispenser cap against the neck around the discharge orifice.

    摘要: A self-closing push-pull top for a bottle includes a threaded collar adapted to engage a threaded bottle neck. A hollow stem extends from the threaded collar and engages a cylindrical guide aperture of a cap. The cap is slidable along the hollow stem about the guide aperture to a first position in which the hollow stem and the cap are positioned with respect to one another to prevent fluid flow from the bottle. The cap is further slidable along the hollow stem about the guide aperture to a second position in which the hollow stem and the cap are positioned to allow fluid flow therethrough. A biasing member is provided for biasing the cap in the first position. Since the cap is biased in this first position, it normally remains closed. Upon application of working pressure, the biasing member deforms to allow the cap to slide to the second position in which fluid may be dispensed from the bottle. Once the working pressure is removed, the biasing member urges the cap back to the first position thereby closing the top to prevent further fluid flow from the bottle.

A pair of annular ribs are formed on the exterior of the pour spout to permit vertical movement of a top cap having an opening therein registrable with said plug. An annular ring having an inturned annular flange thereon is positioned on the pour spout below one of said annular ribs and is detachably secured to the top cap by a plurality of frangible elements. The bottle cap forms a first closure on the water bottle and the top cap forms a second closure, the bottle cap being replaceable on the water bottle when the annular tear skirt is removed.

    摘要: This invention describes a cap for use with a poppet valve of the type having a movable poppet plunger for controlling the dispensing of liquids from a bottle. The cap is a unitary molded member having a centrally located cylindrical opening at only one end. The inside diameter is adapted to contact a top portion of the movable poppet plunger whereby inserting or removing the cap over the poppet valve opens or closes the poppet plunger respectively. A circular ring attached to the top of the cap at a position located over the closed end of the cylindrical opening allows the user to remove the cap and open the poppet valve with a single movement. Similarly, replacing the cap on the poppet valve automatically closes the poppet valve in a single motion.

    摘要: A compact, high-flow-rate closure cap construction for hand-held dispensers, comprising a cap body having an upstanding tubular discharge neck portion, and a closure cap having a bore receiving the neck portion. The neck portion has a cylindrical exterior sealing surface, and the bore has a sealing annulus engaged with the exterior sealing surface. The closure cap is axially slidable on the neck portion between a closed sealing position and an open, product-discharging position. The bore of the neck portion contains multiple product-flow discharge passages which enlarge the effective cross-sectional area of the bore so as to increase its flow-handling capacity, with a minimum of loss in its stiffness and rigidity. The cap has a discharge orifice that is normally closed off by a stopper peg carried by a bridge on the cap body. On the underside of the peg is a relieved area in the form of a slot, that increases the size of one of the openings constituting the discharge path, thereby facilitating an increased volume of product flow. In addition, the cap has an expansive inside wall surface along which the product flows. This surface in turn has a plurality of recesses or discharge passages, all to the end of providing decreased resistance to product flow without sacrificing wall stiffness or jeopardizing the ability to readily mold the parts out of the desired plastic substance.

    摘要: A closure unit for compressible containers and other types of fluid outlets wherein the container is provided with an extension having an opening leading from the container to the extension upon which the closure unit is supported. The closure unit is provided with a fixed stem centrally located of the extension and a separate flexible closed-end sleeve having a central opening through the closed end adapted to overlie the extended portion of the container and the stem, and to be axially movable relative to the stem. The sleeve is provided with a rigid outer side portion and an outer end portion of which at least a portion is provided with a predetermined amount of elasticity. The central opening in the sleeve is slightly less in diameter than the outer end of the stem and when in its outer position will rest lightly on the top of the stem and will flex outwardly to allow the container contents to pass about the stem and out through the opening when pressure is applied to the container, and when the sleeve is in its inward position the sleeve is forced inwardly over the outer end of the stem to provide a definite closure for the opening in the container.
