    Abstract: A cap for a container comprises a lateral wall extending around an axis and a transversal wall arranged transversally to the axis, a separating line being provided on the lateral wall to define:



    a retaining ring intended to remain anchored to a neck of the container, and
    a closing element removably engageable with the neck to open or close the container.




    The separating line extends around the axis and is circumferentially interrupted for defining a joining portion which joins the retaining ring and the closing element.
    The cap further has an incision line which extends in the lateral wall, transversally to the axis, so that the separating line is axially interposed between the retaining ring and the incision line.
    Two connecting bands are defined between the separating line and the incision line to keep the closing element connected to the retaining ring.

    Abstract: A closure for a container is provided. The closure comprises a cap and a retaining ring arranged under the cap for retaining the closure on the container in use. The cap and ring are joined by a pair of connecting arms. A first arm is non-frangibly connected to the cap at a cap tether end and circumferentially anticlockwise therefrom is non-frangibly connected to the ring at a ring root end. A second arm is non-frangibly connected to the cap at a cap tether end and circumferentially clockwise therefrom is non-frangibly connected to the ring at a ring root end. The cap can be tilted away from the ring with the arms providing a hinge-like function, and each of the arms twists between its cap tether end and its ring root end, whereby tension is generated in the arms.

    Abstract: A closing cap for containers with a threaded neck portion, includes a lower ring coupled to the neck of the container and an upper cap provided internally with a thread to be coupled to the outer threaded neck portion, the upper cap and the lower ring are joined to rotate together. The connection between the upper cap and the lower ring is made by two flexible extensions diametrically opposed to each other, which are formed by a thickening present in the lower ring that includes a grooved portion. The lower edge of the body of the upper cap has a step defining a recessed portion where the extensions are located. In a closed condition, the two extensions are arranged above and parallel to the body of the lower ring. In an open position, the upper end of the extensions acts as a hinge region allowing the upper cap to rotate.

    Abstract: A captive screw closure with a tamper-evident band and a screw cap captively connected thereto is disclosed. The screw closure includes an outer surface with an internal thread and an upper surface. The mechanical strain on the retaining bands are substantially reduced. This is achieved by the screw closure having at least one pulling element which permits a pure axial longitudinal movement of the screw cap to the tamper-evident band in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the screw closure. The screw closure includes a pivoting element, in particular a pivoting plate, connected either fixedly or pivotably to the tamper-evident band. The pivoting element, in particular the pivoting plate, is detachably connected to the screw cap. The pivoting element, in particular the pivoting plate, may be connected to the screw cap in a fixed but pivotable manner.

    Abstract: A closure assembly for a package with a thin-walled flexible pouch for containing fruit juices and purees, yoghurt, and energy drinks is provided. The closure assembly has a spout assembly and a closure having a guarantee seal. The guarantee seal has a guarantee ring, a guarantee band, a plurality of breakable bridges, a first attachment portion, and a second attachment portion. In an open configuration, the guarantee band forms a strap that keeps the cap fastened to the guarantee ring and has a length such that, in a use configuration in which the guarantee band is stretched, the second attachment portion is arranged axially below a connection portion of the spout assembly. The guarantee seal has a breakable segment which, in the open configuration, is broken.

    Abstract: A tamper evidence closure is provided for rotatably engaging with a finish of a container to seal contents within the interior of the container. A multiplicity of thin connections attach a tamper evidence band to a circumference of the tamper evidence closure. A segmented cam extends around the circumference of the tamper evidence band. An angled lower surface of the cam facilitates passing the tamper evidence band over a tamper evidence ledge of the finish during assembly of the tamper evidence closure onto the container. An upper surface of the cam engages with the tamper evidence ledge to break the thin connections and retain the tamper evidence band positioned on the finish during loosening of the tamper evidence closure. Multiple overhang portions above the cam press against an upper portion of the tamper evidence ledge to ensure that the tamper evidence band remains engaged with the tamper evidence ledge.
