    摘要： A thermostatic control and switching apparatus for use with a room air conditioner or the like comprising a switching assembly having at least one contact arm movable toward and away from a stationary contact, and a first housing enclosing the switch assembly. A rotary collar in the first housing is adapted when rotated to actuate the switching assembly to open and close the contacts. This collar carries a cam having a face formation for moving the contact arm in a plane parallel to the axis of the collar. A switch enclosed in a second housing is secured to the first housing and a thermostatic strip is supported on and spaced from the second housing and mechanically linked to the thermostatic switch. This thermostatic strip is responsive to changing ambient temperatures to open and close the switch. Means are provided for adjusting the thermostatic strip to open and close the switch at various preselected temperatures, this adjusting means comprising a shaft coaxial with the collar and projecting therethrough. The first housing is secured in superposed position on the second housing with the thermostatic strip interposed therebetween.

    摘要： A device for controlling a mechanism which is adapted to interrupt the electrical heating circuit of a kiln; the mechanism being of the type which includes a pivotally mounted rod having the inner end thereof extending into a kiln and being operative upon downward movement of said inner end to interrupt the electrical heating circuit of the kiln. The device is a fusible pryometric member adapted to be held in the path of downward movement of the inner rod end to prevent such movement until the interior of the kiln has been exposed to a predetermined amount of heating. The member has means, such as a uniform transverse cross-section or a notch in which the inner rod end is engageable, to accurately regulate the amount of heating required to cause deformation of the member.

    摘要： A snap acting double break switch comprising a housing, a pair of terminals mounted to the housing, and a pair of mutually spaced fixed contacts mounted within the housing and electrically coupled to the pair of terminals. A snap acting switch blade is mounted within the housing. A bridge spring transversely overlays a movable portion of the switch blade with a central portion of the bridge spring riveted to the switch blade movable portion and with two flexible eccentric portions of the bridge spring carrying a pair of movable contacts to make and break with the pair of fixed contacts upon actuation of the switch blade. The flexible eccentric portions of the bridge spring are spaced from the switch blade when the switch blade is in a predetermined position relative to the fixed contacts. Means are also provided for actuating the switch blade to cause the movable contacts to make and break with the fixed contacts by moving the switch blade relative to the fixed contacts while permitting the movable contacts flexible movement relative to the switch blade.
