    摘要: A pump includes a quick connect interface that attaches to any drink dispensing to allow the mounting of the pump without the necessity of connection devices such as threaded fittings and/or clamps. The quick connect interface includes a housing having an inlet port and an outlet port. The inlet port connects to a product source to deliver product into the pump, while the outlet port connects the pump to a product dispensing apparatus. Both the inlet and outlet ports include a flow regulator that prevents the flow of product from the quick connect interface when the pump is removed. The housing also has a gas port that connects to a gas source to deliver gas into the pump. The gas port includes a flow regulator that prevents the escape of gas from the gas source when the pump is removed. Additionally, the pump includes a counter that measures the volume of fluid pumped by the pump.

    摘要: A trigger sprayer apparatus is comprised of a sprayer housing and a vent housing that are formed independently of each other and are then assembled together. By providing a separate sprayer housing and vent housing, the sprayer apparatus may be produced in a manner that significantly reduces the occurrence of deformations or imperfections in the component parts of the apparatus. Molding the sprayer housing and vent housing separately enables the cylindrical interior surface of the pump chamber and the cylindrical interior surface of the vent chamber to be molded more accurately. Because the sprayer and vent housings are molded separately, a lesser amount of material is needed to mold each of these components and therefore shrinkage of the material as the components cool is significantly reduces. This eliminates the occurrence of deformations or sinks in critical areas of these component parts.

    摘要: A method of assembling a peristaltic pump having a motor housing having a driveshaft extending therefrom and a pump housing containing a pump including a rotor mounted on a stub shaft extending through the pump housing wherein the motor housing and the pump housing are detachably connected together. They are assembled by positioning the motor housing and the pump housing so as to axially align the stub shaft and the driveshaft, and moving the pump housing towards the motor housing in the axial direction of the driveshaft so that the driveshaft enters the pump housing and engages the rotor while the stub shaft is urged axially out of the pump housing. When the pump housing contains two or more rotors the stub shaft preserves the alignment of the rotors both during manufacture of the pump assembly and transportation of the pump housing.
