Abstract:
A window regulator and method for assembling a vehicle door incorporating it are provided. The method comprises inserting the screw thread of a screw with two heads into the screw thread of a plate secured to an outer panel of the door. The screw passes through an oblong hole in a lug substantially perpendicular to a slider guide of a window regulator rail. The transverse position of the rail with respect to the screw is adjusted. The screw is tightened using its upper head. The screw is loosened later using the lower screw head. The adjustment of the transverse position of the rail is then tweaked and the screw is tightened again using the lower screw head. This makes assembling and adjusting the transverse position of a window in a vehicle door easier.
Abstract:
A dual use combination overhead garage door tracks to provide a supplement to the conventional residential overhead garage door system, by allowing use of a full screen door to be placed in the standard garage door opening to create more viable space in the garage area
Abstract:
It comprises a section member with a fastening area engaging the section member to the vehicle door through a hole through which a screw is passed. The rail may be rotated relative to the vehicle door by means of a protrusion formed around the hole where the screw is projecting therefrom, the free end of which is fitted into a hole formed in the vehicle door and screwed up into a nut through a washer having a surface complementary to the shape of the protrusion. This protrusion may be either a deep drawing formed on the rail, an additional piece or an elastic washer provided in the surface of the rail.
Abstract:
A door system including a sectional door having adjacent panels hinged for moving between a closed vertical position and an open horizontal position, the adjacent panels including at least a top panel, an intermediate panel, and a bottom panel, sets of lower rollers provided proximate the interfaces of the adjacent panels and proximate the lower extremity of the bottom panel, upper rollers carried proximate the upper extremity of the top panel, vertical track assemblies including vertical track sections and reverse angles, the reverse angles interconnecting with a header to form a door mounting system, transitional track members having first track sections and second track sections, and dual horizontal track assemblies having lower horizontal track sections and upper horizontal track sections, wherein the lower rollers are carried by the vertical track sections, the first track sections and the lower horizontal track sections and the upper rollers are carried by the second track sections and the upper horizontal track sections.
Abstract:
A sliding door for selectively opening and closing an opening is disclosed. The door is comprised of a door panel having a top, a bottom, a leading edge and a trailing edge. The door panel translates laterally relative to the opening between a closed position and an open position. The door has a guide, a guide follower, and a reset member. The guide is mounted to a mounting surface located between the upper and lower extent of the opening, and comprises a first end disposed proximate the opening and a second end opposite the first end. The guide follower is attached to the door panel and disposed in operable engagement with the guide. The reset member is disposed proximate the second end of the guide. The reset member has a surface that is angularly oriented to facilitate operable engagement and alignment of the guide follower with the guide.
Abstract:
The invention includes a clasp that can be mounted to the roller track of an overhead door and a shim that can be mounted to the overhead door or the shaft of the roller. The clasp includes a portion for attaching to the roller track and a blocking portion that is secured in proximate location to the inner surface of the overhead door. When the overhead door is in a closed position, the shim and the blocking portion are engaged thereby encouraging the overhead door towards the door frame. Multiple clasp and shim assemblies can be mounted to the overhead door to improve the seal between the overhead door and the door frame.
Abstract:
A track assembly for an overhead door (10) includes a generally vertically positionable track segment (14) and a generally horizontally positionable track segment (15). The track segment (14) includes a curvilinear portion (17) at one end thereof which is joined to a curvilinear portion (21) of the track segment (15) by a bracket (30). The curvilinear portion (17) of the track segment (14) has a smaller radius of curvature than the curvilinear portion (21) of the track segment (15). The bracket (30) has tabs (40) which are received in a slot aperture (42) in the curvilinear portion (17) to attach it to the bracket (30), and the bracket (30) has a lug (41) which is received in a slot (44) in the curvilinear portion (21) to attach it to the bracket (30).
Abstract:
A furniture unit having a dual slider mechanism with an outer carriage and an inner carriage. Both the outer carriage and the inner carriage may include stoppers at opposing ends. A bearing or wheel assembly is provided. The bearing or wheel assembly may be positioned between the side rails of the outer carriage and the inner carriage, and which allows the inner and outer carriages to freely slide. The sliding mechanism may be used with a furniture unit in order to allow a door to open in a first open position or a second closed position or remain in a closed center position. A locking mechanism may be used to lock the door to the frame of the furniture unit.
Abstract:
An automotive vehicle door has a glass window that is raised and lowered by a window regulator that includes a roller cable assembly (15). The roller cable assembly (15) has a rolled section guide rail (18) and a bracket assembly (16) at the lower end portion of the glass window that runs on an L-shaped flange (36) of the guide rail (18). The roller cable assembly (15) includes upper and lower roller assemblies (28 and 30) at the respective upper and lower ends of guide rail (18) and a cable (20) that is trained on rollers (22 and 24) of the roller assemblies and on a drive roller (26) that is driven by an electric motor (32). Each roller assembly includes a base (42) that is slideably attached to the guide rail (16) and a detachable cap pin (44) that attaches the guide roller to the base (42).
Abstract:
A gate roller apparatus for a slidable gate construction includes a shaft, a rotatable roller having a grooved periphery mounted on the shaft, and a hollow guard housing surrounding the roller, except on one side of the housing which is open. The housing has inner and outer side walls and two opposite end walls. A guard member is movably mounted on the housing adjacent at least one of the end walls and has a cavity formed in one end thereof sized to receive a portion of an elongate guiding frame of the gate. During use of the apparatus, the guiding frame moves in the grooved periphery of the roller and extends through the cavity. The guard member can be biased so as to slidingly engage an adjacent side of the guiding frame and thereby prevent inadvertent contact of fingers or clothing with the roller.
