Abstract: A routing device for forwarding data packets in a data network is described. The routing device establishes a communicative connection with multiple other such routing devices that implement the same functions. A data network includes multiple routing devices as described herein. In that data network, each routing device implements and applies a proactive approach with routing tables in a stable part of the data network, and a reactive approach in an unstable part of the data network. When a packet is transmitted from a stable part of the data network to an unstable part of the data network (or vice versa), the forwarding approach is changed along the path of the packet. Thus, the routing device and the data network mitigate the effect of overhead of proactive routing approaches and the latency of reactive routing approaches.

Abstract: Methods and systems for detection of cyberattacks in onboard systems of aircraft. Measurements carried out on these onboard systems are correlated, in case of doubt of one of the measurements, to validate the doubt, (and therefore a cyberattack) or to avert the risk. The correlation can be understood as a coming into correspondence of two or more elements/facts (for example measurements or acquired values) which makes it possible to highlight if there is a dependence of one upon the other and thus to justify modifications of one by those of the other. The correlation, preferably temporal, between identification of a suspect measurement and one or more other (quasi)simultaneous measurements allows dynamic detection, in real time, of the cyberattacks, whether they be already known or not. Thus, there is no dependence on a static protection of the onboard systems developed on the a priori knowledge of the existing cyberattacks alone.

Abstract: A method of training a neural network to control an aircraft system. The method includes obtaining an operational mode data space representing a set of operational modes for the aircraft system, wherein each operational mode represents a configuration of the aircraft system where performance of an aircraft component is impaired according to an aircraft system model. Each operational mode includes probability data indicating a respective probability of the operational mode occurring, according to the model. The method includes generating a reduced operational mode data space including operational modes having a probability greater than a theoretical operational probability threshold, and generating a training operational mode data space including operational modes within the reduced operational mode data space that have a probability less than a real-world operational probability threshold. The method includes training the neural network using operational modes within the training operational mode data space.

Abstract: A system includes antennas to receive satellite signals, modems for managing data received from the antennas, and a switching unit for managing the allocation and the transmission of the data from the various antennas to the various modems, the data from any one of the antennas being able to be allocated and transmitted to any one of the modems, the system thus being able to adapt the allocation of the data such that each modem is able to continue to receive data relating to signals transmitted by one and the same satellite upon a change of position of the antennas, thereby making it possible to maintain communication to one or more given satellite communication services.

Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-interface transmission gateway processing. In some embodiments, the system includes one or more vehicles, each including at least one vehicle gateway, and wireless communication interfaces, at least one management gateway in communication with the vehicle gateway of each vehicle through at least one of the wireless communication interfaces, and one or more management servers in communication with each of the one or more vehicles via the management gateway, wherein the one or more management servers is configured to monitor or manage a status of each of the one or more vehicles. To facilitate reliable and low latency communication between the various devices, an overlay network is maintained over the wireless communication interfaces, and each device is assigned a virtual network interface for inter-device communication purposes.

Abstract: The method includes a step of acquisition of an image of the leading aircraft, a step of extraction of the outline, an adjustment step including implementing an outline registration algorithm, to determine an optimized profile from a comparison of the outline of the leading aircraft with a profile of the leading aircraft determined from a three-dimensional model of the leading aircraft and from an initial position of the following aircraft with respect to the leading aircraft, and a step of determination of the positioning according to six degrees of freedom of the following aircraft with respect to the leading aircraft, from the optimized profile and from the three-dimensional model of the leading aircraft. The method thus makes it possible to rapidly and accurately determine the positioning of the following aircraft with respect to the leading aircraft, this positioning being used to implement a formation flight.

Abstract: To improve measurement or assessment of fatigue damage to parts, a computer-implemented method for measuring striation properties of fatigue striations on a sample surface of a part is disclosed. A sample surface is imaged using a scanning electron microscope to obtain a sample image potentially containing the fatigue striations. A sample image patch potentially containing fatigue striations is selected from the sample image. After normalizing the sample image patch and enhancing line-like regular structures contained in the sample image patch, the normalized image patch is autocorrelated, Radon transformed and spectrally analyzed. The resulting power spectrum of the transformed image patch contains information about striation properties of the fatigue striations contained in the sample image, if any fatigue striations are present. Furthermore, a system for performing the method is disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a structural component of an aircraft wing body and an aircraft including the structural component. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a structural component of an aircraft wing body is provided. The structural component includes a body part and a profile. The body part includes an edge portion formed by end portions of a first skin and a second skin of the body part superposed together. The profile is attached to the edge portion. The profile has an outer profile conforming to an outer profile of the body part such that the structural component, as a whole, exhibits an aerodynamic outer profile after the profile is attached to the edge portion. The profile is attached to the edge portion via a plurality of separate intermediate members or by contacting the edge portion.
