Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that generate a height map for a digital object portrayed in a digital image and further utilizes the height map to generate a shadow for the digital object. Indeed, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems generate (e.g., utilizing a neural network) a height map that indicates the pixels heights for pixels of a digital object portrayed in a digital image. The disclosed systems utilize the pixel heights, along with lighting information for the digital image, to determine how the pixels of the digital image project to create a shadow for the digital object. Further, in some implementations, the disclosed systems utilize the determined shadow projections to generate (e.g., utilizing another neural network) a soft shadow for the digital object. Accordingly, in some cases, the disclosed systems modify the digital image to include the shadow.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media that utilize a digital design interface for creating and modifying circular arc segments as drawing elements within an arc path segment in a cohesive and visually consistent manner. In particular, the disclosed systems generate a circular arc segment comprising a first endnode and a second endnode, wherein the second endnode of the circular arc segment is connected to a design segment comprising the second endnode and a third endnode. In addition, the disclosed systems determine a first continuity setting for the first endnode, a second continuity setting for the second endnode, and a third continuity setting for the third endnode. Moreover, in response to a user interaction, the disclosed systems generate a modified circular arc segment and a modified design segment according to the first continuity setting, the second continuity setting, and the third continuity setting.

Abstract: Systems and methods for editing multiple attributes of an image are described. Embodiments are configured to receive input comprising an image of a face and a target value of an attribute of the face to be modified; encode the image using an encoder of an image generation neural network to obtain an image embedding; and generate a modified image of the face having the target value of the attribute based on the image embedding using a decoder of the image generation neural network. The image generation neural network is trained using a plurality of training images generated by a separate training image generation neural network, and the plurality of training images include a first synthetic image having a first value of the attribute and a second synthetic image depicting a same face as the first synthetic image with a second value of the attribute.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for rendering garments. The system includes a first machine learning model trained to generate coarse garment templates of a garment and a second machine learning model trained to render garment images. The first machine learning model generates a coarse garment template based on position data. The system produces a neural texture for the garment, the neural texture comprising a multi-dimensional feature map characterizing detail of the garment. The system provides the coarse garment template and the neural texture to the second machine learning model trained to render garment images. The second machine learning model generates a rendered garment image of the garment based on the coarse garment template of the garment and the neural texture.

Abstract: Systems and methods generate paired image data comprising synthesized eyeglass reflections and use the paired image data to train a machine learning model for reflection removal. A training dataset is generated that includes image pairs. Each image pair comprises a first version of a face image with eyeglasses not having a reflection and a second version of the face image with eyeglasses having a reflection. A first image pair in the training dataset is generated by: obtaining a first face image with eyeglasses not having a reflection, obtaining a reflection image, and generating a composite image using the first face image and the reflection image. Once generated, the training dataset is used to train a machine learning model to provide a trained machine learning model that performs reflection removal on input face images with eyeglass reflections.

Abstract: An image editing system accesses an input image displayed via a user interface and generates an instance-aware trimap for the input image by applying an instance-aware image segmentation model to input data including the input image and a segmented image defining a segment of the input image including a first set of pixel values. The trimap defines a modified segment using a second set of pixels different from the first set of pixels. Applying the model includes detecting boundaries of an object depicted in the input image. The second set of pixels is located within the boundaries of the object. Responsive to receiving a request via the user interface, the system generates a modified image by performing an editing operation on the input image including editing a portion of the second set of pixels of the modified segment of the trimap. The system transmits, for display, the modified image.
