Abstract:
A fast feedback mechanism is provided in a contention-based ranging procedure. A Subscriber Station (SS) initializes a ranging procedure by sending a ranging code on a selected ranging opportunity for resource access to a Base Station (BS) on a shared ranging channel in a previous uplink frame. The SS also starts a time associated with the ranging code. In response to all received ranging opportunities, the BS broadcasts an acknowledgement (ACK) in a subsequent downlink frame. The ACK comprises a reception status message that indicates the decoding status of the ranging opportunities. With the novel fast feedback mechanism, when ranging collision or failure occurs, upon receiving the reception status report, the SS will proceed with the next round of contention without continuing wait for the entire timeout period. As a result, the total latency due to the ranging collision or failure is reduced.

An improved winding structure of a transformer, wherein the transformer comprises a winding base externally set with an isolating plate, the transformer is divided into a primary side region and a secondary side region by the isolating plate. The primary side region has a winding reel for a pre-formed wire set to sleeve on while the secondary side region is divided into a plurality of winding grooves by a plurality of partitions for placing a wire in the grooves, and an iron core set is set on the outside of the winding base and the hollow structure, which altogether form an transformer. In the present invention, an pre-formed wire set is sleeved on a primary side winding reel, therefore, the costs of traditional hand-winding will be displaced, and the manufacturing quality and usage stability of transformers will be effectively improved as well.

Abstract:
An ultrasonic imaging technique for differentiating the distribution of scatterers within a tissue comprises a correcting and an imaging procedure. The correcting procedure includes steps of obtaining ultrasonic backscattered signals from a standard phantom, compensating and demodulating the signals into an envelope image, calculating the parameter m and m, selecting a window to calculate parameter mw in each location of the envelope image and mw, if mw≠ m then increase the size of the window to repeat the steps above, and when mw= m, it is the optimal size of the window. The imaging procedure includes steps of obtaining ultrasonic backscattered signals from a target tissue, compensating and demodulating the signals into an envelope image, calculating mw in each location to form a mw matrix, and presenting the matrix by utilizing pseudocolors.

Abstract:
An improved winding base structure of a transformer is assembled by combining a primary-side winding base and a secondary-side winding base. The selection of the material of the primary-side winding base and the secondary-side winding base is dependant on the compression-resistant capability because the primary-side input and the secondary-side output of the transformer bear different voltages. The outside of the assembled winding base is disposed with grooves in which the wires are wound, and the center of the winding base is disposed with a through hole for an iron core to be put therein to form a transformer. The sectional winding base of the subject application is characterized in that the primary-side winding base is made of lower compression-resistant material and the secondary-side winding base is made of higher compression-resistant material. Therefore the production cost of the winding base is reduced.

The switching device is arranged to select a first computing device and a second computing device from the computing devices. The first computer video interface is arranged to receive a first image from the first computing device, and the second computer video interface is arranged to receive a second image from the second computing device. The image processing unit is arranged to compose the first image and the second image to be a synthesized image. The console video interface is arranged to output one of the first image, the second image and the synthesized image to the set of user interface devices.
Abstract:
A control system for controlling a keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) switch interconnecting among at least one set of keyboard, video, mouse of a console and a plurality of computers comprises a first memory and at least one embedded module. The first memory stores a plurality of control instructions to control operational signals for the keyboard-video-mouse switch. The embedded module comprises a core unit, a second memory and a decoder. The core unit executes the control instructions fetched from the first memory to control the keyboard, video, mouse signals from or to the keyboard-video-mouse switch. The second memory is accessed by the core unit to load and store at least an operational signal through a communication among the console and the computers. The decoder coupled to the core unit and the first memory respectively decodes the control instructions stored in the first memory.

A module connector includes an insulated component, a plurality of contacts inside the module connector and a housing shell outside of the module connector. The insulated component has four sidewalls that define an inserting space to receive another module. Each sidewall has a plurality of contacts parallel L-shaped slots to accommodate the contacts that are electrically connected with the outside module. The housing shell has four side containing walls. A pressing pin and an elastic pin are extended from the top of each side-containing wall towards the inserting space. The pressing pins prop downwardly the outside module.
