    摘要: A back support apparatus intended for use during emergency transport of a patient suffering an actual or suspected spine injury is disclosed. The device provides a solid support for the arched portion of the spine that molds to the shape of the individual patient's back. The device comprises a bag or other container into which a solid curable material and a liquid activator are introduced, which is then placed beneath the patient's spine on a back board or like support. The device may be deployed quickly without the need for additional straps, belts, or the like, and may be treated as disposable due to its low cost.

    摘要: A biosafety cabinet includes at least one cable port disposed in a wall of the cabinet that allows small tubing and/or cables to enter the cabinet through the walls. The cable port eliminates problems associated with running the tubing and/or cables through an open door at the front of the cabinet. The cable ports enable the user to fully close the view screen door, while maintaining the ability to connect various tubes and/or cables to devices in the interior work area of the cabinet. The biosafety cabinet further includes a double wall configuration with negative pressure air space between the two walls. Air and byproducts or contaminants attempting to escape from the cabinet into the room or enter the cabinet from the outside environment is captured in the negative pressure area between the walls and transported directly to an air filter.

    摘要: First and second pumps are integral in that the pumps are driven by a common motor. The first pump is driven in pumping motion by an eccentric disposed on the motor shaft and the second pump is driven in pumping motion by an end of the motor shaft. The first pump can be an ABS pump and the second pump can be a pre-charge pump. The first and second pumps can be disposed in a common block housing and the common block housing can define a fluid path extending from the outlet of the second pump to the inlet of the first pump. A third pump can be susbtantially similar to the first pump and be disposed on an opposite side of the shaft as the first pump. The third pump can be driven in pumping motion by the eccentric. A separate feed line can be directed from the reservoir of the brake system to the second pump to improve performance.
