    摘要: A combination of a swivel port and a wall plate includes a body interconnected with a female connector or a double-female coaxial cable connector such that moving the body moves the connector and vice versa. At least one ridge on the body corresponds to and interoperates with at least one guide channels in an opening in the wall plate which receives the swivel port. The guide channel extends from an inside of the wall plate to an outside of the wall plate, and width of the guide channel at the outside of the wall plate is greater than a width of the guide channel at the inside of the wall plate. The interoperation of the ridge on the body with the guide channel permits movement of the swivel port in two dimensions while prohibiting rotation of the swivel port about a longitudinal axis of the swivel port.

    摘要: A locking terminator device for a coax cable port is used for preventing ingress of electrical signals into the port and also to prevent theft of cable signals by non-subscribers. The device of the present invention includes an outer terminator housing, an inner connector housing having two slots for receiving the tabbed tool feet of a specialized tool, and a terminator having a resistor post, a cylindrical body, and a conical end. The device provides for a tamper-resistant terminator by having a specialized tool with two tabbed feet that are spread outwardly when pressed against the conical end of the terminator to engage the slots of the inner connector body. Once the slots are engaged the tool can be used to lock or unlock the locking terminator device to a cable port of a tap assembly.

    摘要: The present invention incorporates a flexible seal into a typical coaxial cable connector. The seal comprises a flexible brim, a transition band, and a tubular insert with an insert chamber defined within the seal. In a first embodiment the flexible brim is angled away from the insert chamber, and in a second embodiment the flexible brim is angled inward toward the insert chamber. A flange end of the seal makes a compliant contact between the port and connector faces when the nut of a connector is partially tightened, and becomes sandwiched firmly between the ground surfaces when the nut is properly tightened. The present invention allows the connector to make a uniform RF seal on a port even with a range of tightening torques.

    摘要: An expanding contact used within a cable connector to make a solid connection with a hollow center conductor of a coaxial cable includes two pieces, a pin and a guide. The pin includes a plurality of slots which form a like plurality of fingers, while the guide includes a plurality of tabs which fit into the plurality of slots. Ends of the fingers include a ramped portion which interacts with a ramped portion of the guide. When the pin is pushed against the guide, the fingers are pushed outward because of the ramped portions of the fingers sliding against the ramped portion of the guide. Before the ends are pushed outward, the pin/guide combination can slide easily into and out of the hollow center conductor, but when the fingers are pushed outward, the fingers make a substantial interference fit with the inner walls of the hollow center conductor.

    摘要: A coaxial cable connector includes a connector body, a mandrel disposed inside the connector body and a compression member radially adjacent to one end of the connector body. A plurality of inner rings and at least one outer ring are interleaved in a wedging relationship inside the connector body outside a portion of a mandrel. As the compression member is axially advanced, the inner and outer rings are driven into a wedging engagement between the coaxial cable and the connector body. At least one of the inner rings is composed of a deformable material which when compressed forms a continuous seal with the coaxial cable.
