摘要: A container has a chamber and a phase change material (PCM) that can remove heat from the chamber. The container can have a thermal conductor movably coupled in the container between a retracted position and a deployed position, where in the deployed position, while on a heat sink unit, the thermal conductor can draw heat from the PCM to solidify or charge the PCM, which can then maintain the chamber in a chilled state for a prolonged period of time. The container can have one or more heating elements in thermal communication with the chamber and operable to add heat to the chamber to increase or maintain a temperature of the chamber in a heated state for a prolonged period of time.

摘要: A drinkware container system includes a container body having an outer wall and an inner wall spaced from the outer wall to define a cavity. The inner wall extends between an opening of the container body and a base wall. The inner wall and base wall define a chamber that receives a liquid, the bottom wall spaced below the base wall. A cold-side heat sink is located in the cavity in thermal contact with the inner wall and/or the base wall. Optionally, a phase change material is located in the cavity and in thermal communication with the chamber and with the cold side heat sink, the phase change material spaced apart from the outer wall. The cavity can optionally be filled with an insulation material or be under vacuum. Optionally, the container body can have magnet(s) that can removably couple it with a cooling unit. The cooling unit can have a first heat sink configured to contact the container body when the container body is placed on the cooling unit, thermoelectric module(s) in thermal communication with the first heat sink, and a second heat sink in thermal communication with the thermoelectric module(s) so that the thermoelectric module(s) are interposed between the first and second heat sinks. The thermoelectric module(s) are operable to draw heat from the first heat sink and transfer it to the second heat sink to cool the first heat sink to thereby draw heat from the container body to cool it.

摘要: A container with active temperature control is provided. The container has a body with a chamber that receives a liquid. A temperature control system housed in the portable body has one or more heating element in thermal communication with at least a portion of the chamber to heat the liquid. Control circuitry controls the operation of the one or more heating elements and one or more power storage elements to provide electrical energy to the one or more heating element and/or control circuitry. The control circuitry controls the one or more heating elements to add heat to the liquid in the receiving portion to maintain the temperature of the liquid at a predetermined temperature or increase the temperature of the liquid above said predetermined temperature. The container can have a cooling element (e.g., a phase change material) that can remove heat from the liquid poured into the chamber.

摘要: A plateware device with an active temperature control system can have a double-walled body with a top metal panel and a bottom metal panel spaced from the top metal panel to define a cavity therebetween. A base (of metal or plastic) can be attached to the bottom metal panel to close the cavity. An outer surface of the doubled-walled body can have a ceramic coating so the plateware device resembles a conventional plateware device. The temperature control system can be disposed in the cavity and can include one or more heat transfer elements in thermal communication with a bottom surface of the top panel to heat at least a portion of the top panel, and control circuitry configured to control operation of the one or more heat transfer elements. The control circuitry is optionally further configured to wirelessly communicate with a mobile electronic device, the control circuitry configured to control the operation of the one or more heat transfer elements based at least in part on information it receives from the mobile electronic device.

摘要: An infant bottle feeding system includes an infant bottle with a chamber that receives a liquid, heating or cooling elements operable to heat or cool liquid in the chamber and sensors operable to sense parameters of the liquid in the chamber. The system optionally includes an electronic base removably attached to a bottom surface of the infant bottle and operable to deliver power to electronics in the infant bottle. The system optionally includes a thermal cover that fits over the infant bottle and releasably couples to the electronic base to enclose the infant bottle, the thermal cover insulating the infant bottle and inhibiting heat loss of the liquid in the chamber. The electronic base delivers power to the heating elements and sensors in the infant bottle only when the infant bottle is on the electronic base. The infant bottle, thermal cover and electronic base define a single travel pack unit when coupled together.
