摘要： An automobile center console has an associated armrest with a lifting and transverse shifting mechanism that exerts on the armrest a combination of a lifting movement and a transverse displacement toward one of the two front seats. The lifting and transverse shifting mechanism is located on a guide carriage that is linearly movable by a linear guide device along the center console in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle.
