摘要： A radio base station notifies a maximum allowable transmission rate of uplink user data to a mobile station by using a common transmission rate control channel. The mobile station increases the transmission rate of uplink user data up to the maximum allowable transmission rate by a predetermined step. When a predetermined condition is satisfied, the mobile station requests the radio base station to transmit a dedicated transmission rate control channel. The mobile station determines the transmission rate of uplink user data based on the dedicated transmission rate control channel transmitted from the radio base station.

A mobile communication method according to the present invention includes the steps of: (A) informing, from the handover source radio base station to a handover target radio base station, the access bearer setup information; (B) storing, at the handover target radio base station, the access bearer setup information informed of by the handover target radio base station; and (C) setting up, at the upper node, an access bearer between the upper node and the handover target radio base station by using the stored access bearer setup information without performing reallocation processing of new access bearer setup information, the access bearer being set up in response to a path switching request from the handover target radio base station.

The upper node includes a tracking area selecting unit configured to select a tracking area to be assigned to the newly-installed base station based on the results of the statistical processing; and a tracking area reporting unit configured to report the selected tracking area to the newly-installed base station. The newly-installed base station includes a tracking area setting unit configured to set the reported tracking area.

摘要： A plug-and-play radio base station autonomously establishes X2 logical interfaces and S1 logical interfaces with existing base stations and upper nodes. A new radio base station which is installed in a network advertises an IP address of the new radio base station over a transport network. An existing radio base station or an upper node which receives the IP address detects the number of hops from the new radio base station to the existing radio base station or the upper node. An initial logical interface with the new radio base station is established when the detected number of hops is below a predetermined threshold.

In the mobile communication system, user devices present in areas covered by existing base stations report tracking area identifiers of tracking areas to which the existing base stations belong. The base station includes a statistical processing unit configured to count the number of the tracking area identifiers reported by the user devices for each of the tracking areas; and a tracking area selecting unit configured to assign the base station one of the tracking areas corresponding to the largest number of the tracking area identifiers counted by the statistical processing unit.
