摘要: A method of driving a plasma display apparatus is disclosed. In the method, a first pulse of a negative polarity is applied to a scan electrode prior to a reset period. A second pulse is applied to the scan electrode during the reset period. The second pulse gradually rises from a first voltage to a second voltage with a first slop, and then gradually rises from the second voltage to a third voltage with a second slope. The first slope is different from the second slope.

摘要: A plasma display panel that minimizes the power consumption required for driving the PDP is disclosed. A reset pulse of a ramp-down waveform supplied in a reset period goes down to a voltage level higher than a negative scan reference voltage, and is kept for a specified period. Also, a sustain pulse voltage level of a selective erase type sub-field is provided with a voltage level relatively higher than the sustain pulse provided from the selective write type sub-field, or a reset pulse of a ramp-up waveform that goes from a maximum voltage level of the ramp-up waveform down to a ground voltage level or more is supplied to a scan electrode as well as a selective erase scan pulse descends from a predetermined selective erase scan voltage level to the ground level or more. Therefore, the data driving voltage is minimized, and the display state is stabilized.

摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus and a method for driving a plasma display apparatus, and more particularly, to a method for driving a plasma display apparatus including an energy recovery circuit. The plasma display apparatus according to the present invention is characterized in that it includes a path forming unit which serves to supply the first energy to the scan electrode and supply the second energy to the sustain electrode; serves to supply the first sustain voltage to the scan electrode and supply the second sustain voltage to the sustain electrode; serves to supply the first energy to the sustain electrode and supply the second energy to the scan electrode; and also serves to supply the first sustain voltage to the sustain electrode and supply the second sustain voltage to the scan electrode. The plasma display apparatus according to the present invention may useful to reduce a manufacturing cost by using a relatively low rated voltage and therefore inexpensive elements.

摘要: A lantern having a flashing lantern cap includes a flashing lantern cap, a head, and a handle. The flashing lantern cap is formed to be capable of being detachable from the lantern to make light emitted from a lamp of the lantern to flash. The flashing lantern cap is attached at the fore end of the head. The head has the lamp inside and into which the flashing lantern cap is inserted. The handle is coupled to the rear end of the head and stores a battery inside. The handle can further include at the rear end thereof a multi-function portion having at least one of a cutter for cutting provided at an angled inlet, a hammer for breaking a car window, and a compressed gas injector used for self-defense.
