摘要： An electrophotographic image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material, to which a process cartridge is detachably mountable, the apparatus, includes (a) a plurality of mounting portions for detachably mounting process cartridges, respectively, the process cartridges each including, an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, a developing roller for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive drum, a developer accommodating portion for accommodating a developer for use by the developing roller to develop the electrostatic latent image, a developer supply opening for supplying the developer to the developing roller from the developer accommodating portion, a sealing member for unsealably sealing the developer supply opening, and unsealing means for unsealing the developer supply opening by removing the sealing member from the developer supply opening; (b) a motor; and (c) driving force transmitting means for selectively transmitting a driving force from the motor to the unsealing means to unseal the developer supply openings of the process cartridges mounted to the mounting portions.

摘要： The invention includes a base member attached to a casing. The inside of the casing can be a vacuum atmosphere. A partition wall is provided on the base member, the base member separating an air atmosphere and the vacuum atmosphere. A rotating member (a rotating portion of a driving source) is provided on the base member at a position different from the rotating member. An armature, which is a dust source, is provided on the air atmosphere side of the partition wall, thereby maintaining high cleanliness on the vacuum atmosphere side. Providing the partition wall and the rotating member at different positions eliminates the necessity of consideration on the rigidity of the partition wall for supporting the rotating member, thereby reducing the thickness of the partition wall. In addition, it is possible to reduce affection by deflection generated by the inertia or vibration caused by rotation of the rotating member, so that a distance between the armature and a magnet in the rotating member can be narrower than the related art. Accordingly, high accuracy in stopping positions can be realized.

摘要： A method of overheating and releasing a chip cut piece from a thermal release type pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is a method by which a chip cut piece stuck onto a thermal release type pressure sensitive adhesive sheet having a base material, and a thermally expandable microsphere-containing thermally expandable pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided on a surface of the base material is thermally released from the thermal release type pressure sensitive adhesive sheet and which is characterized by including the step of overheating while restraining the overheat and release type pressure sensitive adhesive sheet to thereby release the chip cut piece. A means for restraining the thermal release type pressure sensitive adhesive sheet may be an absorption means using suction or may be a bonding means using an adhesive agent. In this manner, the chip cut piece can be thermally released from the overheat and release type pressure sensitive adhesive sheet while position displacement in a horizontal direction can be prevented.

The blade head carries at least one shaving unit 50 comprising an outer blade foil 70 and an inner blade 80 driven in a shearing engagement manner with the outer blade foil. The outer blade foil has a plurality of holes in which hairs are introduced. The outer blade foil is elongated and has a length, and is curved along a width direction to form a generally C-shaped cross section, and is curved convexly and uniformly along its length to have a longitudinal curved outline. The feature of the present invention resides in that a radius of curvature of the longitudinal curved outline is 150 mm to 350 mm.
