    摘要: A network communication system which can shorten processing time by selecting an adequate encryption method based on an encryption processing speed is provided. In the communication process, the client device determines whether the server device is in the same LAN or in WAN and whether the watermark such as “Confidential” is added to data. Then, based on these determination results, the client device extracts encryption methods from common key methods usable, and makes a list of encryption method candidates. The server device selects a common key method to be used to encrypt communication data from the notified list based on the communication speed and the encryption strength. The client device encrypts the communication data using the agreed common key method, and sends the encrypted data to the server device. Then, the server device decrypts the received encrypted data using the relevant common key method.

    摘要: A service registration system includes a server that provides a service through a network, a peripheral device capable of communicating with the server and using the service, and a terminal device capable of communicating with the server and the peripheral device. When the terminal device receives the registration requesting information representing information related to registration necessary for using the service from a user, the terminal device transmits registration requesting information to the server. When the server receives the registration requesting information from the terminal device, the server transmits service information necessary for using the service. Further, the terminal device can transmit the service information to the peripheral device when it receives the service information from the server. Further, when the peripheral device receives the service information from the terminal device, the peripheral device stores the received service information and operates in a mode where the service is usable.

    摘要: In a communication system having a client and a server capable of communicating with each other via a network, the server can transmit a command to the client in response to a command request transmitted from the client to the server. The server may include a replying unit that transmits replaying data in response to the command received from the client in such a manner that (a) if there is a command to be transmitted to the client, replying data including the command is transmitted to the client, and (b) if there is not a command to be transmitted to the client, replying data, which does not include a command is transmitted to the client. Further, the replying unit may transmit the replying data without a command to the client when a no-command status lasts a predetermined standby period after receipt of the command request.
