    Abstract: A radio terminal (1) is configured to transmit data using a first communication architecture type, in response to an occurrence of a request for specific data transmission when the radio terminal (1) has already been configured by a network (3) to use a second communication architecture type. This contributes to, for example, when the radio terminal has already been configured by the network to use the second communication architecture type that involves suspension and resumption of an RRC connection, facilitating effectively performing communication according to the first communication architecture type that involves data transmission over a control plane.

    Abstract: A radio terminal (2) controls state transitions of the radio terminal (2) among first to third RRC states. In addition, if the radio terminal (2) is in the second RRC state, if a current cell that the radio terminal (2) has camped on is different from a first cell in which a state transition from the first RRC state to the second RRC state was performed, and if the current cell satisfies a predetermined condition, the radio terminal (2) allows the radio terminal (2) to transmit data to be transmitted in the current cell by a first transmission procedure in which the radio terminal (2) transmits uplink data before entering the first RRC state.

    Abstract: A target RAN node (3) is configured to: receive, directly from a core network (5), core network context information about a handover of a radio terminal (1) from a first network to the second network; and control communication of the radio terminal (1) based on the core network context information. The target RAN node (3) is further configured to transfer a handover signaling message to a source RAN node on a direct interface (101) in response to receiving the core network context information. The core network context information includes at least one of flow information, slice information, and security-related information. It is thus possible, for example, to provide an inter-RAT handover procedure involving transfer of handover signaling messages on a direct inter-base-station interface.

    Abstract: In order to make it possible to report an amount of data from a secondary node (SN) to a master node (MN) in dual connectivity, there is provided a first unit according to the present disclosure which is a first unit of a central unit of a first base station. The first unit includes a controller and a transceiver. The central unit is configured to host at least PDCP layer in the first base station; and is connected to a distributed unit via a first interface, the distributed unit hosting RLC, MAC and PHY layers in the first base station. The controller is configured to host at least a user plane of the PDCP layer hosted by the central unit; and the transceiver is configured to transmit, to a second unit via a second interface, first information indicative of a volume of data processed by the first unit. The second unit is configured to host at least a control plane of the PDCP layer hosted by the central unit.
