    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Embodiments herein provide a method for method for managing discovery of an edge application servers (310). The method includes sending, by an edge enabler client (120) of a UE (100), an initial service provisioning request to an edge configuration server (400). Further, the method includes receiving, by the edge enabler client (120), an initial service provisioning response comprises an information element from the edge configuration server (400), where the information element indicates the supported discovery mode. Further, the method sending, by the edge enabler client (120), a request for discovering the edge application server (310) to at least one of the edge configuration server (400), a dedicated server for an edge application server information, and a Domain Name System (DNS) server based on the supported discovery mode.

The EAS (112) is registered with the source EES (114A), Further, the method includes determining, by the ECS (116), at least one target EES (114B) of the plurality of EESs (114) based on the information profile of the at least one EAS (112). Further, the method includes sending, by the ECS (116), at least one notification to the at least one target EES (114B). The at least one notification includes information about the source EES (114A), and the information profile of the at least one EAS (112).

The ASM client is configured in UE to monitor parameters related to applications in UE. The ASM server monitors VAL server based on parameters associated with VAL server. The ASM server obtain status information of VAL server by performing either pull procedure, push procedure, and subscribe-notify procedure. Further, the ASM server provides the status information to one or more entities for performing one or more actions. Thus, the present disclosure facilitates the system to monitor the application services and indicate one or more entities to perform corrective actions to provide seamless and uninterrupted services to users.

The custom subscription is managed by one of creating the custom subscription, modifying the custom subscription, deleting the custom subscription, notifying the custom subscription, and terminating the custom subscription using the plurality of parameters. Further, the method includes providing a subscription for a location management service associated with the server SIP node (200) over the SIP regardless of the event package is available or not. The server SIP node (200) allows a client SIP node (100) to manage a location information using the plurality of parameters.
