    Abstract: An EL layer includes a low refractive index layer comprising an organic compound and a light-emitting layer comprising a light-emitting substance. The organic compound has an ordinary refractive index of 1.50 to 1.75 with respect to light at 455 nm to 465 nm, or an ordinary refractive index of 1.45 to 1.70 with respect to light at 633 nm. Given that a wavelength corresponding to an intensity 1/e times a maximum peak intensity in an emission spectrum of the light-emitting substance is λn, a shortest λn in a range of wavelengths longer than a maximum peak wavelength λmax of the light-emitting substance is λ1, and a longest λn in a range of wavelengths shorter than λmax is λ2, a difference between λ1 and λ2 is greater than or equal to 5 nm and less than or equal to 45 nm.

    Abstract: The reliability of a light-emitting device emitting near-infrared light is increased. The light-emitting device includes a hole-injection layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transport layer in this order between a pair of electrodes. The hole-injection layer contains a first compound and a second compound. The first compound has a property of accepting an electron from the second compound. The second compound has a HOMO level higher than or equal to −5.7 eV and lower than or equal to −5.4 eV. The light-emitting layer contains a light-emitting organic compound. The maximum peak wavelength of light emitted from the light-emitting organic compound is greater than or equal to 760 nm and less than or equal to 900 nm. The electron-transport layer contains a third compound and a substance containing a metal. The third compound is an electron-transport material. The substance containing a metal is a metal, a metallic salt, a metal oxide, or an organometallic salt.

    Abstract: A novel light-emitting device, a novel light-emitting apparatus, a novel electronic device, a novel display device, and a novel lighting device which are highly convenient, useful, or reliable are provided. The light-emitting device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a first layer, and a second layer. The second electrode includes a region overlapping with the first electrode, the first layer includes a region sandwiched between the first electrode and the second electrode, the first layer includes a light-emitting material, the light-emitting material has a function of emitting photoluminescent light in a solution, the photoluminescent light has a first spectrum, the first spectrum has a maximum peak at a wavelength λ1, and the wavelength λ1 is in the range greater than or equal to 440 nm and less than or equal to 470 nm. The second layer includes a region sandwiched between the first layer and the second electrode, the second layer includes a first organic compound, the first organic compound has a first refractive index n1 with respect to light having the wavelength λ1, and the first refractive index n1 is more than or equal to 1.4 and less than or equal to 1.75.

    Abstract: A novel organometallic complex is provided. One embodiment of the present invention provides a novel organometallic complex having a high quantum yield. An Ir complex has a structure including a 1H-naphtho[1,2-d]imidazole skeleton as a ligand and being represented by General Formula (G-1) below. Of Ns included in the 1H-naphtho[1,2-d]imidazole skeleton, N that is not bonded to Ir is bonded to a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group. In General Formula (G-1), each of R1 to R10 independently represents any of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 7 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 25 carbon atoms, and an electron-withdrawing group, and Ar represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 25 carbon atoms.
