    Abstract: A display apparatus with high display quality is provided. A display apparatus includes a first pixel, a second pixel provided adjacent to the first pixel, a first insulating layer, and a second insulating layer over the first insulating layer. The first pixel includes a first pixel electrode, a first EL layer covering the first pixel electrode, a common electrode over the first EL layer. The second pixel includes a second pixel electrode, a second EL layer covering the second pixel electrode, and the common electrode over the second EL layer. The first insulating layer covers part of a side surface and part of a top surface of the first EL layer and part of a side surface and part of a top surface of the second EL layer. At least part of the second insulating layer is provided to be sandwiched between an end portion of the side surface of the first EL layer and an end portion of the side surface of the second EL layer. The second insulating layer contains an acrylic resin, and the second insulating layer has a tapered side surface and a convex shaped top surface. A taper angle of the tapered side surface of the second insulating layer is less than 90°, and the common electrode overlaps with the second insulating layer.

    Abstract: A display device with high display quality is provided. The display device includes a first light-emitting device, a second light-emitting device, a first insulating layer, and a second insulating layer; the first light-emitting device includes a first pixel electrode, a first light-emitting layer over the first pixel electrode, and a common electrode over the first light-emitting layer; the second light-emitting device includes a second pixel electrode, a second light-emitting layer over the second pixel electrode, and the common electrode over the second light-emitting layer; the first insulating layer covers a side surface and part of a top surface of the first light-emitting layer and a side surface and part of a top surface of the second light-emitting layer; the second insulating layer overlaps with the side surface and the part of the top surface of the first light-emitting layer and the side surface and the part of the top surface of the second light-emitting layer with the first insulating layer therebetween; the common electrode covers the second insulating layer; in a cross-sectional view, an end portion of the second insulating layer has a tapered shape with a taper angle less than 90°; and the second insulating layer covers at least part of a side surface of the first insulating layer.

    Abstract: A light-emitting device with low power consumption is provided. The light-emitting apparatus including a first light-emitting device and a first color conversion layer. The first light-emitting device includes an anode, a cathode, and an EL layer between the anode and the cathode. The EL layer includes a layer including a material with an ordinary refractive index higher than or equal to 1.50 and lower than 1.75 with respect to light with a wavelength longer than or equal to 455 nm and shorter than or equal to 465 nm. The first color conversion layer includes a first substance that absorbs light and emits light. An ordinary refractive index of the first color conversion layer with respect to light with a wavelength longer than or equal to 455 nm and shorter than or equal to 465 nm is higher than or equal to 1.40 and lower than or equal to 2.10. The first color conversion layer is on an optical path of the light emitted from the first light-emitting device to an outside of the light-emitting apparatus.

The following organic compound is provided: the organic compound has an arylamine structure; and when the organic compound is deposited to be a film, the ordinary refractive index of the deposited film with respect to light with a wavelength of 458 nm is greater than or equal to 1.50 and less than or equal to 1.75, the birefringence Δn of the deposited film with respect to light with a wavelength of 458 nm is greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 0.008, or the alignment order parameter of the deposited film with respect to light with a wavelength corresponding to the longest wavelength where an absorption peak appears in the absorption spectrum is greater than or equal to −0.07 and less than or equal to 0.00.
