    Abstract: An in-line dust shutter formed as part an adapter. A hinged dust shutter assembly is secured to an adapter wall. A shutter plate covers an opening formed at either end of the adapter to prevent debris from entering the adapter and distorting the light signal between opposing fiber optic connectors. The shutter plate extends at angle alpha from a rotational axis. The shutter plate is biased closed by a bias spring place about a pin of the rotational axis.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector.     Abstract: A multiple fiber push-on (MPO) optical connector is provided having a ferrule configured to house multiple optical fibers and including a stepped portion extending from at least one pair of opposing exterior surfaces of the ferrule. A one-piece housing-backpost is provided having a distal end in a connection direction and a proximal end in a cable direction. The one-piece housing-backpost is configured to receive a ferrule spring and the ferrule from the distal end. The housing-backpost includes at least one resiliently-deformable ferrule-retaining protrusion extending from a sidewall to engage the corresponding stepped portion of the ferrule. The resiliently-deformable ferrule-retaining protrusion is configured to deform towards the housing-backpost interior sidewall as the ferrule is inserted from the distal end and to extend outward against the stepped portion of the ferrule when the ferrule is seated in the housing-backpost to maintain the ferrule in the housing-backpost.

    Abstract: A bifurcated housing having opposing body portions that when mated stack one or more adapters. The stacked adapters may be different adapter types. A panel clip secures the bifurcated housing within a panel. The adapter types may be stacked vertical or horizontal depending on the panel configuration or network layout. The body portions form an outer housing with opposing sidewalls perpendicular to the outer housing.     Abstract: An optical connector holding one or more LC-type optical ferrules is provided. The optical connector includes an outer housing, pin keep, and two pins. One pin acts as a push/pull mechanism to release the connector from the adapter. The pin keep has two side clips with one of two side clips having an alignment key on a top surface. The alignment key engages a corresponding surface in the adapter housing to aid in polarity setting of the connector with the adapter. The adapter has a panel mounting clip that contains one or more latches that engage and retain the connector in the adapter housing. The panel clips and surfaces of the connector are constructed to reduce the overall size of the connector and adapter. The adapter has a plural of internal ribs forming one or more channels.
