    摘要： An outer-rotor variable-speed motor, to which single-phase AC power is applied and on which a rotor is provided outside a stator, comprises first and second main windings provided on a stator of the motor to form a plurality of poles, a frequency detector for detecting the frequency of AC power applied to the motor, and a relay for connecting the first and second main windings in series if the detected frequency is 60 Hz and connecting the first and second main windings in parallel if the detected frequency is 50 Hz. The speed of the motor is kept constant even when power at different frequencies is applied, so that it is possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of the motor and reduce the power consumption, and also to reduce electromagnetic noise from the motor.

    摘要： Disclosed is a dishwasher including, a circulating pump for pressing and then supplying wash liquid, an injection arm for permitting the wash liquid pressed and supplied from the circulating pump to be injected by a predetermined passage structure, an underdrain container for collecting the wash liquid injected from the injection arm and supplying the collected wash liquid to the circulating pump, during a washing stage, a soil collecting chamber having a micro filter with a fine mesh for ramifying and finely filtering the wash liquid supplied from the circulating pump and returning the same to the underdrain container, during the washing stage, a drain pump for allowing the wash liquid to be drained through a drain passage which is extended from the underdrain container, and through a connecting passage which is extended from the soil collecting chamber and connected to the drain passage, during a draining stage. The present invention has advantages of preventing pollution of newly supplied wash liquid from being aggravated, since foreign materials filtered by the micro filter in the washing stage is smoothly discharged in the draining stage, and removing troublesome process of additionally removing the foreign materials after dish washing, since the micro filter is self-purified, thereby improving efficiency in washing and convenience in use.

    摘要： A built-in refrigerator is disclosed, which includes a cabinet provided in a sink and having a door at a front side thereof and a component chamber at a rear bottom thereof; a molding provided on a floor located at a front bottom of the cabinet; a compressor provided in the component chamber; a cooling fan provided in the component chamber for blowing air to the compressor; a condenser condensing a flowing refrigerant by heat-exchange with the air blown from the cooling fan; and a ventilating passage connecting the component chamber to the outside of the molding for ventilating the component chamber. Also, the built-in refrigerator further includes a dividing strip for dividing the ventilating passage into an inflow passage through which the air is introduced, and an outflow passage through which the air is discharged, wherein the dividing strip is inclined at a predetermined angle &thgr; so as to form an inlet of the inflow passage larger than an outlet of the inflow passage. The condenser may be provided on an inner sidewall of the component chamber.

    摘要： A washing machine with a tilted tub assembly is disclosed. In the washing machine, the tub assembly is suspended and supported within an upright housing at a predetermined angle relative to the perpendicular of the housing. The tilted position of the tub assembly within the housing is stably held by damper hangers, shock absorbing units and/or elastic support units. The tilted tub assembly is convenient to users while putting or taking laundry into or out of the tub assembly. The tilted tub assembly also forms complex and active water currents suitable for preventing laundry from being entangled during a washing operation. The washing effect of the washing machine is thus improved with a reduced deviation of the washing effect. The washing machine almost completely prevents its drive motor from being overloaded and conserves the operational time while washing laundry. This saves water and electric power during a washing operation.

The method allows for uniform heat to be generated and distributed throughout the ice tray during an ice separation process. Consequently, the ice separating process may be consistently performed irrespective of the shape of the ice tray and its surroundings, thereby minimizing generation of excess water, and reducing energy consumption.
