    摘要: A surface mount electrical connector for use on printed circuit boards including plug and receptacle connectors is disclosed for use with parallel and perpendicular printed circuit boards. Box and pin terminals are positioned in rows adjacent a ground bus. The connectors are attached to the boards by posts on the ground bus. The terminals are insertable in cavities in the connector housings and can be retained in a partially inserted position. Mounting the connector housing on the printed circuit board independently inserts the terminals fully into housing cavities with compliant solder tails on each terminal being in contact with conductive pads on the boards despite deformities or warpage of the boards.

    摘要: A surface mount, miniature connector with an integral power or ground bus bar is formed by a pair of mating housing members each defining a mating face and an oppositely-directed surface mount face with a plurality of terminal passages extending between the faces. A like plurality of terminals is provided, each mounted in a respective passage with a mating portion directed towards the mating face and a solder tail extending from the surface mount face. Each housing is provided with an elongated longitudinally extending groove which receives therein an elongated rigid conductive bus bar member having at least one leg which extends beyond the surface mounting face of the respective housing. Each bus bar is of sufficient length to bus at least one connector housing and to provide strength to the underlying circuit board and prevent the connector from being pulled off the mounting surface during connector unmating. Each connector is further provided with an H-shaped clip for interengaging bus bars of the plug and receptacle members.

The lead screw 12 is a conductive plastic and thus acts as a resistance element, the resistance between the mounts 18, 18' and the circuit trace 20 being varied by rotating the screw 12. Mounts 18, 18' have spring-loaded arms 34, 36 which releasably retain the lead screw 12 so it may be replaced if it is desired to change the resistance limits of the device.

    摘要: A spring probe block assembly includes an insulative housing. A probe connector having a signal probe, an insulative layer, and a conductive shell is positioned within the housing. At least one ground probe is also positioned within the housing. The ground probe and the conductive shell of the probe connector are electrically connected by a grounding element. The grounding element is configured to elastically deform the ground probe in such a manner as to create spring energy in the ground probe. The spring energy generates a normal force between the ground probe and the grounding element which maintains the ground probe in its position. Also, a method for retaining a spring probe in a housing by elastically deforming the spring probe to maintain a spring force between the spring probe and the housing.

    摘要: An electrical connector includes a latch for retaining an IC card. A card adaptor body receives the IC card. The adaptor body has a connector end including a pin header. A pair of opposed card side edge guides extend from the connector end and terminate adjacent an open end of the adaptor body. The IC card is inserted into the adaptor body and has a connector edge engaged with the pin header, a pair of opposed sides engaged with the side edge guides and a rear edge at the open end of the adaptor body. A retainer includes a flexible arm and a hook extending from the connector end into the open end. The hook is automatically engaged with the card rear edge when the card is inserted for retaining the card engaged with the pin header, and is movable out of engagement with the card rear edge to permit the card to be removed from the adaptor body.
