    摘要: An implant holder for use with a delivery catheter to deploy an implant, such as a filter, in a tubular body part is provided. The holder includes a cartridge body having a lumen extending between two ends and holding a collapsed implant, and an implant image disposed on the cartridge body. The implant image has an axial orientation corresponding to the axial orientation of the implant held in the cartridge body lumen. The axial orientation of the implant image helps to guide a physician in correctly orienting the implant regardless of which access point is used, thereby reducing the chance of deploying the implant in the wrong axial direction.

    摘要: An endovascular sheath device for use with a thermal treatment apparatus is provided. The device includes a longitudinal tube which is designed to receive a thermal treatment device and is designed to be inserted into a blood vessel. An ultrasonically visible reinforcement element is disposed along the length of the longitudinal tube. The reinforcement element such as a braided wire provides several functions including increased visibility under ultrasound, clearer identification of sheath tip, and increased durability to protect the fiber from needle punctures during tumescent injections into the perivenous space. The wire reinforcement also increases shaft torquability and kink resistance during sheath insertion and withdrawal.

    摘要: A vena cava blood clot filter is described that is attached to the walls of the vena cava by barbed anchors. In its filtering state, the filter is cone shaped which causes the blood to be filtered. The cone shape is formed by an appropriate restraining mechanism. When it is desired to stop filtering, the restraining mechanism is released and the filter takes a cylindrical shape. The cylindrical shaped filter will then line the vena cava wall and cease filtration of the blood.

    摘要: The filter is composed of two portions. A first portion is a set of zi-zag struts arranged in a cylindrical fashion which fit against the wall of the vascular lumen and provide a base for positioning a filter portion. A filter portion is a set of struts. Each filtering strut has its upstream end connected to the positioning portion at the vascular wall and its downstream end held at a central position in the vascular lumen by a frangible connector or cord.The central connector has a center opening to permit blood flow through the central opening. When the cord is cut, the resilient filter struts flex radially outward against the vascular wall in a parked condition to provide a non-filtered state without requiring removal of the filter from the patient.

Each wrap is defined by a continuous wire that forms a plurality of loops.
