摘要: In a projection type image display apparatus, when the angle of light incident on the multi-layer film of a polarizing beam splitter for synthesizing an optical path becomes uneven, the loss of the light occurs. So, the projection type image display apparatus of the present invention is provided with an illuminating optical system 1-5b, a color separating and synthesizing optical system 7 for separating illuminating light from the illuminating optical system into a plurality of color lights and making the respective color lights enter image display elements 8r-8b provided for the respective color lights, and synthesizing a plurality of image lights emerging from these image display elements, a projection optical system 10 for projecting and displaying the image lights synthesized by the color separating and synthesizing optical system, and polarizing elements Pr, Pg, Pb for transmitting only a particular polarized component light therethrough disposed between the color separating and synthesizing optical system and the image display elements.

摘要: An eyepiece lens is constructed with, in order from an entrance side for light to an exit side for light, first, second, third, fourth and fifth lens units of negative, positive, positive, positive and positive refractive powers, respectively. Each of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth lens units of the eyepiece lens is composed only of one lens or a cemented lens, and an intermediate image by an objective lens is formed between the second lens unit and the third lens unit. An objective lens is constructed with, in order from an object side to an image side, first and second lens units of positive and negative refractive powers, respectively. The first and second lens units of the objective lens are composed of one positive lens and of one positive lens and one negative lens, respectively, and the various conditions are appropriately set. An optical apparatus includes the eyepiece lens, the objective lens and an erecting prism.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a biofeedback device which separately extracts the .alpha. wave component and the muscle component included in the brain wave and, therefore, permits the user thereof through auditory perception of associated audio frequency sounds to recognize accurately the appearance in the brain wave of the .alpha. wave component or muscle component on the basis of the principle that exclusive perception of the sound associated with the .alpha. wave component indicates relaxation of the subject's mental state, exclusive perception of the sounds associated with the muscle component indicates tension of the subject's mental state or cephalic state and simultaneous perception of the sounds associated with both components indicates occurrence of a phenomenon having nothing to do with the responses for feedback training.
