    Abstract: Provided is a light source, comprising at least one laser array, a light combining assembly, and a fly-eye lens; wherein the at least one laser array is configured to emit at least two colors of laser light; the light combining assembly is disposed on a light-output side of the at least one laser array and is configured to guide the laser light emitted from the at least one laser array to the fly-eye lens; the fly-eye lens is disposed on a light-output side of the light combining assembly and is configured to homogenize the laser light emitted from the at least one laser array; wherein the fly-eye lens comprises: a substrate; a plurality of first microlenses disposed on a light-incident surface of the substrate; and a plurality of second microlenses disposed on a light-output surface of the substrate.

    Abstract: An image projector arranged to project an image onto a display plane. The image projector comprises a processing engine, a display device, an optical element and a light source. The processing engine outputs a computer-generated diffractive pattern comprising a hologram of an image for projection and a lens function corresponding to a lens having a first optical power. The display device is arranged to display the computer-generated diffractive pattern. The optical element is disposed between the display device to the display plane. The optical element has second optical power. The light source is arranged to provide off-axis illumination of the display device in order to spatially-modulated light in accordance with the hologram and lens function. The lens function of the computer-generated diffractive pattern and the optical element collectively perform a hologram transform of the hologram such that a reconstruction of the image is formed on the display plane.

    Abstract: A projection display system, including light emitting device, light splitting device, first, second and third light modulators. The light emitting device emits first light and second light in time sequence. The light splitting device splits the first and second light into first and second wavelength range light along first and second optical paths, respectively, and guides part of the second light along the first optical path. The first and second light modulators modulate the light along the first and second optical paths, respectively; the light modulated by the first and second light modulators is combined to obtain third light along third optical path. The third light modulator is in optical path between the light emitting device and the light splitting device and modulates the first and second light from the light emitting device; or the third light modulator is in the third optical path and modulates the third light.

    Abstract: An optical device includes a light modulation device disposed on an optical axis of incident light, and a holding section configured to hold the light modulation device. The holding section includes an inflow part to which a liquid supplied from an outside of the holding section inflows, a flow channel forming part disposed along a circumferential edge of the light modulation device so as to have an annular shape, and having a flow channel through which the liquid flowed from the inflow part circulates, and an outflow part from which the liquid having flowed through the flow channel outflows to the outside of the holding section. At least one of an inside of the inflow part and an inside of the flow channel is provided with at least one projection.
