Abstract: A covering rosette (4) for a sanitary wall-fitting comprises, in a manner known as such, a covering plate (6) which is capable of being fastened to the wall-fitting and an ornamental hood (5) which is detachably fastened to the covering plate (6). Covering plate (6) and ornamental hood (5) are each provided with passage openings (8, 18) for a region of the wall-fitting onto which an ornamental cap (1) is capable of being pushed from outside. On the covering plate (6) and/or on the ornamental hood (5) at least one spring shackle (25) is provided, the boundary surface (25c) of which pointing towards the axis of the passage openings (8, 18) is situated in the tension-free state on a circle, the diameter of which is equal to or smaller than the outside diameter of the push-on ornamental cap (1). In addition, the spring shackle (25) is provided on its outer boundary surface (25d) with a latching device which interacts with a complementary latching device (30) on the respective other part (ornamental hood (5) or covering plate (6)) in such a manner that with the ornamental cap (1) pushed on the latching devices (25d, 30) cannot be detached from one another.

Abstract: A water valve mounting assembly for use in attaching a water valve such as a shower valve to a wall of a bathroom or other type of room having washing facilities includes a valve body positioned on the exterior side of the wall in alignment with an opening in the wall. There is a mounting plate positioned on an exterior side of the wall and aligned with the valve body and wall opening, with the mounting plate being attached to the valve body and having a generally central recessed area extending toward and into the wall opening. The mounting plate has a plurality of spaced barbs adjacent its periphery, which barbs extend toward and are embedded in the exterior surface of the wall about the wall opening, with the embedded barbs preventing turning movement of the mounting plate relative to the wall and the valve body.

Abstract: A faucet 10 having a copper tube waterway 44 assembled to hot water valve 40 and cold water valve 42 to control the discharge of water for the waterway 44, and a housing 12 with a base 14 and a spout 16 formed therein. A unitary member 74 including a throat plate 76 is connected to cover the spout 14 and mount the waterway 44 therein, and a putty plate 78 to cover the base 14 and be connected thereto by fasteners 94. The connection of the throat plate 76 to the spout 14 is by ribs 116 that wedgingly engage bosses 56 of the spout 14 to interconnect the spout 14 and the throat plate 76 and simultaneously mount the waterway 44 therebetween.

Abstract: A putty plate 30 is formed with an edge 32 in a continuous pattern to define the perimeter of the plate. A base wall of the putty plate 30 includes a floor 40 on one side of the plate 30 and a ceiling 78 on the other side of the plate. Holes 48, 60 and 62 are formed through the base wall. Four sets of ribs 52 are formed integrally from the floor 40 on the one side of the plate 30 while sets of ribs 84 are formed integrally from the ceiling 78 on the other side of the plate. Ribs 46 are formed about the holes 48 in a hexagonal configuration integrally from the floor 40 of the plate 30. Circular ribs 80 are formed about the holes 48 integrally from the ceiling 78 on the other side of the plate 30. A continuous groove 68 is formed in the base wall between the edge 32 and the ceiling 78 to define the perimeter of the ceiling. Two other putty plates 108 and 200 are formed with structure similar to the structure of the plate 30. The three putty plates 30, 108 and 200 are composed of a nylon material.

Abstract: A flange assembly (24) includes a cover (26), a base (28) and a compliant gasket (30) all of which are of circular configuration with a central opening. Gasket (30) is assembled within a nest formed by tapered surface (52) and rim (50) of base (28). Abstract: A plumbing fixture that is recessed in a wall and that has a part projecting through a hole in the wall is provided with an escutcheon having a main plate shaped to fit around the part flatly against the wall and to cover the hole, at least one fastener engageable through the main plate with the fixture to press the plate against the wall, a cover plate fittable on the main plate over the fastener, and formations integrally formed with the plates and securing the plates together.
