摘要： A grommet for surrounding a conduit received through a hole in a part, including a grommet body configured for engagement with a perimeter of the hole in the part and defining a closed or substantially closed perimeter, and a plurality fingers, the fingers extending axially from the grommet body and being circumferentially spaced from one another, each of the fingers being elongated and having a free end axially spaced from the grommet body. An assembly includes the part, the grommet, the conduit, and an adjustable length fastener spaced from the part, the adjustable length fastener forming a loop having an adjustable perimeter, the conduit and the fingers extending within the loop, the adjustable length fastener retaining the fingers against the outer surface of the conduit. A method of supporting a conduit within a hole through a part is also discussed.

摘要： Plumbing supply boxes may be made of a thermoset plastic material that will not melt or permit the boxes to collapse inside a wall if subjected to flames or high temperatures resulting from a fire. If the thermoset plastic boxes have a drain opening, a thermoplastic tubular drain adaptor may be connected thereto that can be solvent welded. Relatively small intumescent pads may be installed in close proximity to the drain opening which, if subjected to flames or high temperature caused by a fire, will expand and form an insulating char that seals off the drain opening. The boxes may be slidable in opposite directions along adjustable support brackets to permit the boxes to be mounted in any desired position in stud bays having different spacings between the stud walls for ease of alignment of one or more openings in the box with in-wall plumbing.

摘要： A grommet for installation in an opening of a panel comprises an elastically deformable material having a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end of a grommet body. The grommet body comprises an aperture extending longitudinally through the grommet body between the proximal end and the distal end. A wall-engaging segment defines a longitudinal segment of the aperture and is located to be enclosed by a wall of the opening when the grommet is installed in the panel. A clamping element occludes the aperture in the wall-engaging segment and comprises at least one longitudinally extending through-hole sized and configured to receive an elongated element. The clamping element is located to apply a compressive force on the elongated element to retain the elongated element in the through-hole of the grommet body responsive to disposition of the wall-engaging segment in the opening of the panel.

摘要： A device for aligning pipes with adjacent structures. The pipe alignment device includes a housing having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is removably securable to a pipe via threading. The second end of the housing includes a light source that can emit a beam of light along the center of the longitudinal axis thereof. When the housing is secured to a pipe, the light source is activated via a switch disposed on the exterior of the housing. A beam of light contacts an adjacent structure, thereby serving as a marker for drilling a hole in the structure to allow the pipe to align therewith in order to connect or pass through the structure. In one embodiment, the first end of the housing is removable and houses a power source that is operably connected to the switch and the light source for providing power thereto.
