    摘要: A connecting device for structured elements with an improved force fit connection, of the type comprising a bolt with a floating nut and a sleeve portion near the head. The sleeve portion is adapted to be force fitted into a first structural member, is outwardly deformable and has a plurality of circumferential ribs. The bolt widens towards the sleeve end, so that when the threaded end is rotated by means of the floating nut into a second structural member, the sleeve is expanded inside the first member and enhances the force fit connection.

    摘要: An anchoring system in concrete having a predrilled hole with an undercut. The anchoring system includes a cylindrical rod that is threaded at one end and has a trunk conical head at the other end. A sleeve extends over the lower portion of the cylindrical rod above the trunk conical head. The cylindrical rod is inserted into the hole so that the sleeve is adjacent to the undercut. The sleeve is fixed against being subsequently withdrawn. The cylindrical rod is then rotated relative to the sleeve thereby lifting up the trunk conical head into the sleeve so as to press against and thereby expand the sleeve outward against the walls of the undercut.

    摘要: A sleeve anchor for use in a pre-drilled hole in concrete, masonry and the like includes a bolt with threaded outer end for receiving an internally threaded pressure member, e.g., a nut. The inner end defines a shank terminating in a head of diameter greater than the shank. The head has a tapered wedge-forming shoulder adjoining the shank. A sleeve is disposed concentrically upon the bolt and includes a collar extending along a threaded portion of the bolt at its upper outer end is disposed for receiving longitudinal pressure toward the inner end of the bolt generated by tightening of the nut. An inner portion of the collar is of petalform configuration, having three petals extending along the shank in closely-spaced side-by-side relationship. The petals are joined at proximal ends to the collar by respective pillars each of narrow arcuate extent, providing windows between the pillars of greater arcuate extent. The pillars have distal ends which contact and ride up the shoulder for radially outward expansion of the sleeve upon tightening of the pressure member. The distal ends of the petals each have a lobular prominence whereby together they form in section an enhanced hexagon or trilobular configuration. Further, each petal forms at its proximal end a singular ear along a leading side edge, formed by an outwardly extending corner portion, for providing gripping antirotational engagement of interior surfaces of the hole upon insertion of the anchor. The sleeve is formed of resilient, ultimately deformable metal to permit torsional distortion of the pillars upon tightening of the pressure member, causing foreshortening of the sleeve to provide pre-loading of the anchor within the hole.

    摘要: An expansion anchor assembly for use in a borehole formed in a receiving material has a leading end and a trailing end relative to the insertion direction of the assembly into the borehole. The expansion anchor assembly includes a tie rod with an expansion cone at its leading end, an expansion sleeve through which the tie rod extends and a cone sleeve positioned around the expansion cone and between the expansion cone and the leading end of the expansion sleeve. The radially outer surfaces of the expansion cone and the cone sleeve each have a different cone angle. Due to the different once angle, when the tie rod is drawn into the expansion sleeve toward the trailing end of the assembly, the part with the smaller cone angle moves in the same direction into the expansion sleeve until it contacts a stop. Subsequently on continued inward movement of the tie rod, both the expansion cone and the cone sleeve are drawn into the leading end of the expansion sleeve and effect an increased expanding action.

The improvement comprises a nose cone on the free end of the locking pin having a circular cross-sectional shape, the nose cone overlying the adjusting nut so that the criticality of position of the nut on the pin in the prior art is avoided, while at the same time the tapered nose cone provides a guiding function to mount the pin into the parts to be assembled together.

    摘要: An expansion anchor assembly is made up of an anchor bolt and an expansion sleeve encircling and secured in an annular recess on the bolt. Adjacent the annular recess, the anchor bolt has a frusto-conical section. The expansion sleeve has diametrically opposite reduced thickness wall sections with a projection extending outwardly of the surface of the sleeve along each of the reduced thickness wall sections. When the expansion anchor assembly is inserted into a prepared borehole and the frusto-conical section is drawn into the sleeve, the sleeve breaks into axially extending sections along the reduced thickness wall sections and a uniform contact is provided between the sleeve section and the borehole surface.

    摘要: A mounting arrangement for attaching a toilet seat and cover to a toilet bowl is disclosed which facilitates installation without the use of conventional hand tools. The arrangement includes a base having a hinge post for hingedly connecting the seat and cover thereto. The base further includes a downwardly depending stem having a longitudinal bore which is adapted to be positioned within the mounting hole on the toilet bowl. A fastener assembly is provided which includes a bolt positioned within the longitudinal bore of the stem which may be readily rotated by hand. An expandable nut is threaded to the lower end of the bolt, with the entire mounting arrangement being insertable into the mounting hole of the bowl from the seat side thereof. As the bolt is rotated to draw the nut toward the base of the arrangement, at least one of the stem and expandable nut are urged into engagement with the periphery of the mounting hole, thereby providing securement of the mounting arrangement to the toilet bowl, while accommodating use of the mounting arrangement on toilet bowls having mounting holes of varying diameters.

    摘要: A sleeve is provided for snug reception through a bore in a floor slab and an elongated shank is provided for snug sliding reception through the sleeve with the opposite ends of the shank projecting outwardly from the corresponding ends of the sleeve. One end of the sleeve is provided with an enlargement thereon tapering toward the other end of the shank and the maximum diameter of the enlargement is less than the outside diameter of the sleeve. The enlargement includes a minor diameter end which may be wedgingly received within the adjacent end of the sleeve and the enlargement includes circumferentially spaced, radially outwardly tapering and longitudinally extending flutes formed thereon. The flutes are spiraled, slightly, about the enlargement and are inclined less than 30.degree. relative to the longitudinal axis of the shank. Forced structure is provided for operative connection between the shank and the sleeve to longitudinally displace of the former relative to the latter in a direction wedging the enlargement into the adjacent end of the sleeve and the force structure is operative to apply torque to the shank in response to longitudinal displacement thereof relative to the sleeve tending to rotate the shank in the same direction in which the flutes are spiraled.
