摘要： A method for manufacturing a housing enclosing a pyrotechnic charge and an installation for implementing this method includes inserting a pyrotechnic charge into a charging volume laterally delimited by a rigid cylindrical charging wall and into a lower part by a first element of the housing to be obtained; positioning a second element of the housing to be obtained of cylindrical shape above the inserted pyrotechnic charge and in the extension of the cylindrical charging wall. The second element has a lateral cylindrical wall of the same shape and diameter as the cylindrical charging wall and is able to cooperate with the first element, and jointly translating the second element and the cylindrical charging wall relative to the first element such as to make the second element cooperate with the first element and form the housing enclosing the pyrotechnic charge.

摘要： A powder compaction device is disclosed. The device has a drive motor operable connected to a compaction rod that moves through a loading platform to a cartridge holding platform. A powder loading station is positioned below the loading platform and above the cartridge holding platform. The compaction rod moves through the powder loading station, which loads a predetermined volume of propellant powder into one or more reliefs defined in the compaction rod. The cartridge holding platform has a removable cartridge fixture designed to receive an ammunition cartridge to be loaded and compacted with propellant powder. The propellant powder is released into the cartridge fixture from the reliefs as the compaction rod passes a funnel defined at an upper end of the fixture. After releasing the powder, the compaction rod continues into an interior chamber of the fixture to compact the powder contained therein.

摘要： A highly-filled paste, and a method and device of de-aerating and injecting the paste, the paste including: (a) a solid filler; (b) an organic binder, and (c) a residual gas, wherein the paste contains at least 80 volume-% of the solid filler and has a viscosity exceeding 100 kilopascal·seconds, wherein the filler, binder, and residual gas are intimately mixed so as to form a substantially homogeneous paste, and wherein a composition of the solid filler, binder, and residual gas is selected such that the homogeneous paste has: an average density greater than 98.5% of a Theoretical Maximum Density (TMD).
