The bottom section is attached to the upper section by the left support arm and the right support arm. The upper section includes at least two light-emitting diode (LED) light strips and a fresnel lens. The power supply plug is electrically connected to the at least two LED light strips, and the at least two LED light strips provides the necessary illumination to the upper section. When the users place reading materials on the bottom section, they are able to see a magnified view of the reading materials through the fresnel lens, and the plurality of accessories provides additional functionality for the book holding apparatus with a magnifying visible area.

    摘要: A loupe and lighting assembly for enhancing detection of dust particles on the optical sensor of a digital camera. The assembly is made of a cylindroid hollow-centered main frame body, into which is fixed a loupe lens. A battery housing is joined to the body in order to supply electrical power to a LED array. The LED array is made from a plurality of LED diodes mounted peripherally and around the inside of the cylindroid body, being tilted at an acute angle from the axis orthogonal to the plane of the cylindroid body so that all diodes axially converge toward a single focal point, at a certain distance from the main frame body. The dust particles scattered upon the sensor become clearly visible to an observer looking through the assembly when the dust particles location coincide with the LED common focal point.

    摘要: An improved head-mounted optical illuminator or magnifier of the type worn by a medical or dental professional includes an optical coating applied to one or more optical surfaces associated with the illuminator or magnifier, and wherein the optical coating is a rejection coating operative to blocks wavelengths in the green, blue, violet and/or ultraviolet portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, depending upon the embodiment. Short-wavelength coatings (blue/violet/uv) may be applied to the surface of a lens used in a head-worn illuminator, for example to the beam-forming optics. The head-worn illuminator may be an LED illuminator, xenon illuminator, or other high-intensity source. In the case of the green notch filter coatings, these would typically only be applied to a head-worn magnifier, including flip-up and through-the-lens styles. In all embodiments, the optical coating may be a multilayer dielectric coating, a holographic filter, or utilize other optical filter technology.

In one embodiment the magnifying glass includes a spring-biased clamp adapted to fasten the thumb of either hand and having an extension; a light pivotably releasably secured to the extension; a pivotal member having one end pivotably secured to the extension; a hinge pivotably secured to the other end of the pivotal member; and two lenses each secured to the hinge. The number of lens is one with an elimination of the hinge and is pivotable clockwise or counterclockwise relative to the pivotal member in another embodiment. The single lens is slidable in a further embodiment.

    摘要: A novel magnification apparatus for power hand tools that allows working in confined workspaces is disclosed. In a first embodiment of the present invention, a magnification apparatus is attached to the top of the hand-held power tool using an adjustable friction mechanism that provides for an adjustment of the focus of the magnification apparatus. A tilt mechanism is also included that maintains the tool and workspace in the lens' field-of-view as the magnification apparatus is moved along the slot. This allows the operator to adjust the focus and magnification, thus allowing the clear viewing of the tools and workspace. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the magnification apparatus further includes a light for providing illumination in addition to magnification. The addition of the light in combination with the magnification apparatus increases the ability of the operator to view the tool and workspace, particularly in those cases where the workspace has poor ambient illumination.

    摘要: A retractable magnifier includes a housing and a lens assembly having a lens carried in a frame. The lens assembly is movable in the housing between a retracted position and an extended position. The housing is provided with push-buttons capable of releasing the lens assembly from the retracted position. A longitudinal rack is formed in the housing. A pinion meshes the rack and has a spindle rotatably connected to the frame. The pinion further includes a helical torsion spring mounted around the spindle and placed in damping oil for urging the pinion in such a direction that the frame may be moved, in a gentle manner, to the extended position. A rocker provided with an electric prefocus lamp is pivotally connected to the housing, and adapted to be pivoted outward at a predetermined angle with the housing when the lens assembly is in the extended position. A switch is formed on the housing for turning on/off the lamp.
