摘要: This disclosure relates to a surgical lighting device comprising a shell (12), a plurality of light sources (24) coupled to the shell, and a closure plate (18) for closing the lighting device by allowing light to pass through. The closure plate comprises a plurality of lens elements, each lens element being configured to collect and focus light from a corresponding light source to generate a light spot of a predetermined diameter located at a predetermined distance from the lighting device. In order to simplify the structure of the lighting device, the light sources and the cover plate are arranged in such a way that the light beams coming from the light sources and received by the associated lens elements arrive at the lens elements without substantial reflection or deflection. The closure plate therefore comprises all the optics necessary for collecting and focusing the light from the light sources.

摘要: A medical device inspection scope may include a cylindrical outer layer having a diameter of less than 2 millimeters or even less than 1 millimeter, a cylindrical inner layer disposed concentrically within the outer layer, a circumferential space between the outer layer and the inner layer, and an inner lumen formed by the inner layer. The scope also includes multiple light transmitting fibers disposed in the circumferential space and a camera module disposed in the inner lumen. The light fibers may be designed to transmit illumination light and ultraviolet light. The scope may also optionally include a stiffening member.

摘要: Unintended current flow or plasma discharge has been observed in known illuminated electrosurgical devices having a metallic tubular heat sink surrounding a conductive electrode and an illumination element, and having a distal outer edge that abuts against the light emitting element. An insulating, shielding or other isolating element that prevents or discourages unintended plasma formation between the distal outer edge and nearby patient tissue can reduce the potential for tissue damage to a patient or injury to a surgeon.

摘要: A lighting system with vacuum intake is provided, having a lighting structure including at least one light-emitting element dimensioned to illuminate a region, and a lighting support structure extending at a first end thereof from the lighting structure and enabling repositioning of the lighting structure relative to a second end of the lighting support structure. The lighting support structure hays an air conduit extending therealong and connectable or connected towards the second end of the lighting support structure to a vacuum system, the air conduit being in fluid communication with a vacuum intake positioned towards the lighting structure.

摘要: An illumination system includes an array of LEDs including a plurality of first LEDs and a plurality of second LEDs. A microlens array overlays the plurality of LEDs and includes a plurality of first lenses corresponding to the plurality of first LEDs and a plurality of second lenses corresponding to the plurality of second LEDs. A first geometry of at least one of the plurality of first lenses is different than a second geometry of at least one of the plurality of second lenses. An imaging device is configured to capture an image based on light reflected from the array of LEDs. At least one processing device is in communication with the array of LEDs and the imaging device. The at least one processing device is configured to identify a shadow cast on the target region by an obstruction and selectively activate the array of LEDs based on the shadow.

摘要: A smart flexible operating room lighting system with a control system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) modules may be coupled to a wall, ceiling, or fixture of and mobile in a facility. The lighting system can modularly accommodate multiple illumination arms and incorporate microphones thereon, permitting the vocal control using the control system for hands free operations. The control system controls the movements of the illumination arms to desired positions and orientations via motor-driven actuators and position sensors thereon. The lighting system may include a speaker and a camera to facilitate two-way communications with a user via the control system to facilitate demonstrations for individuals undergoing tutelage in the facility. Further, a cover with a transparent front end may be provided to be slipped over the lighting system and securing through a cover fastener. Thus, the present invention provides reliable sanitary measures while facilitating efficient operations via the smart flexible illumination arms.

According to various examples, an apparatus is provided which comprises a lighting interface configured to connect to a lighting element for illuminating a medical examination room. The apparatus further comprises a power interface coupled to a power source. The apparatus further comprises a Wi-Fi transceiver configured to transmit a wireless signal to connect to a device corresponding to a physician. The wireless signal corresponds to a local area network. The duration of the connection is used to track the presence of the physician in the medical examination room. The Wi-Fi transceiver is tuned to transmit a signal strength corresponding to the size and characteristics of the medical examination room. The apparatus is located in a lighting fixture in the medical examination room. The lighting fixture may be centrally located in the medical examination room.
