摘要： A modular, portable framing table apparatus for facilitating the construction of wood framed structures is disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises at least one subassembly. Each subassembly comprises a pair of parallel, longitudinally extending, and transversely, adjustably separated, rectangular shaped bench modules having a plurality of wood framing member location and retention means positioned in defined relationships with each other. Each subassembly also comprises at least two leg modules to support the bench modules when the apparatus is assembled, and at least two divider modules. The divider modules further comprise attachment/alignment means for precisely joining the divider modules to the leg modules into an assembled apparatus in such a fashion that the assembled apparatus is both rigid and square. Furthermore, the disclosed apparatus is capable of rapid assembly and disassembly and, when disassembled, all of the modules are of a size and shape so that they will all fit in the bed of a standard pickup truck or like vehicle to facilitate their transportation to a remote job-site.

摘要： An alignment assembly and method is provided. The alignment assembly is located adjacent to one end of a structure to be erected, and cooperates with a like assembly located adjacent to an opposite end of the structure for vertically aligning a surface of the structure as it is being erected. The alignment assembly includes a base having first and second spaced-apart legs for being driven into a supporting surface, and a web for interconnecting the first and second legs and maintaining the legs in spaced-apart relation. An upright is removably attached to the web, and extends vertically upwardly between the first and second legs of the base. A guide line is secured to the upright, and extends laterally from the first alignment assembly to the second alignment assembly. The guide line is moveable vertically along the upright to maintain the surface of the structure in vertical alignment as the structure is being erected.

摘要： In constructing a masonry header, masonry header jacks are mounted in opposed fashion on the sides of existing spaced masonry stiles. A masonry header template is supported on the jacks between the stiles and the jacks are vertically adjustable for properly positioning the template prior to constructing a masonry header on top of the template. After the header is cured, the template and jacks are removed. The jacks include horizontally disposed base mounting arms that have a vertical thickness equivalent to the thickness of mortar joints in the stiles. The jacks are mounted on the stiles by positioning the arms in preselected mortar joints of the stiles when the masonry block or brick stiles are laid up.

摘要： A "U" shaped clip member is arranged for resilient mounting to contiguous construction studs, wherein the clip member includes spaced parallel plate legs biased towards one another fixedly and orthogonally mounted to a base plate. The base plate includes a "U" shaped channel extending exteriorly of and projecting orthogonally relative to the base plate to define a channel spacing between the channel projection and the base plate to receive a hammer head projection to permit efficient removal of the clip member subsequent to its use in the securement and alignment of construction studs relative to one another. A modification of the invention includes spacer arms projecting exteriorly and orthogonally relative to the side walls to position adjacent studs relative to the "U" shaped member, wherein the spacer arms include a ferromagnetic mounting plate formed at each outer terminal end thereof arranged parallel to the side walls, wherein the ferromagnetic plates are arranged to magnetically clamp to metallic studs or to the use of "U" shaped sockets mounted to the magnetic plates, wherein each of the "U" shaped sockets defines a socket channel to receive adjacent studs therewithin for alignment of adjacent studs relative to a central stud network.

摘要： A structural member spacing tool is adapted to be disposed between adjacent structural members for positioning the structural members a predetermined distance apart. The tool acts as a support to prevent movement of the structural members while they are fastened in place. The tool is provided with parallel, spaced apart support surfaces which provide rigid support within a stud cavity between adjacent stud members. This allows the tool to prevent movement of the studs while they are fastened in place. Since the tool is disposed within the stud cavity, it can be utilized in any stud cavity including the cavity adjacent a corner. The tool can also be used for walls adapted to be constructed flush against a masonry wall.
