摘要： The Raschel machine is comprised of a plurality of lapping belts and a yarn laying-in comb which penetrates the pattern yarns running to the latch needles. The comb moves substantially at right angles to the axis of the latch needles and carries out a combined stroke and oscillating motion. In addition, a plurality of stitch forming systems are provided on the opposite side of the lapping belts and laying-in comb from the plane of the latch needles. The guide bars of these systems oscillate at an angle to the pattern yarns and move in a circular orbit.

The web portion and the edge portion are interconnected transversely by a connecting portion which is formed by threads merging from both of said portions and which has a relatively fine interstice structure.

The thread feeding apparatus includes a source of weft threads which are drawn through a plurality of flexible tubes and are connected in groups to a plurality of slideable blocks. The invention allows a large number of threads to be fed to a conventional warp knitting machine at one time.

摘要： A warp knitting machine, particularly of the Raschel type, is provided with a device for inserting a weft thread into the knitted loops wherein a crank-shaped thread laying device is provided with a thread guide which is operable to undo the twist which occurs during the revolving movement of the thread laying device, thereby making it possible to draw, for example, two weft threads, which may be of different color or composition, simultaneously from the weft thread supply reels. A weft thread storer is provided which consists preferably of two storage discs facing each other and which is movable in the direction toward the knitting needles. The warp knitting machines can produce knitted goods whose appearance and properties correspond to those of woven goods, but where the knitted product can be manufactured at substantially higher production speeds than the woven product.
