摘要: Logic may generate a wake-up radio packet, wherein the wake-up radio packet comprises an on-off keying (OOK) signal, a sequence of a preamble of the wake-up radio packet to indicate a rate of transmission of one or more OOK orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of a medium access control (MAC) frame of the wake-up radio packet, wherein a duration of transmission of the preamble is 128 microseconds for a low data rate and a duration of transmission of the preamble is 64 microseconds for a low data rate. Logic may communicate the wake-up radio packet to a physical layer device to transmit OFDM symbols of an IEEE 802.11 preamble on a channel followed by OOK OFDM symbols of the wake-up radio packet on a sub-band of the channel. And logic may generate at least a second wake-up radio packet to transmit on a contiguous channel bandwidth with OOK OFDM symbols.

摘要: Wireless devices, methods, and computer-readable media for transmitting and receiving high-efficiency signal fields. An access point (AP) may include circuitry configured to determine a high-efficiency signal (HE-SIG) field for each of a plurality of sub-channels, wherein each HE-SIG field includes a common part and a sub-channel specific part. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit, in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), on each of the plurality of sub-channels, a corresponding HE-SIG field as a preamble to a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU), wherein the sub-channel specific part of the corresponding HE-SIG field includes a resource map field that enables a HEW device to determine which portion of the PPDU to demodulate, and wherein the common portion includes information of a format of the PPDU. A HEW device may include circuitry configured to demodulate a PPDU based on a HE-SIG field.

摘要: Systems, devices and methods for updating link adaptations in multi-carrier modulated signals between an access point (AP) and a wireless local area network (WLAN) station (STA) include (are configured for) periodically transmitting a channel sounding signal from the AP. The STA receives each unsolicited channel sounding signal and evaluates the current channel conditions between the AP and STA. The AP adjusts a rate of transmission of the channel sounding signals in accordance with the channel coherence time so that the channel estimates performed by the STA will be valid within the time varying characteristics of the channel. Depending on the length of the coherence time for network environment, the channel sounding signals may be AP beacons, low overhead signal fragments with no payload, or a combination of both.

摘要: A communication unit operates in a wireless-networking environment and maintains a mapping for active channels and associated network identifiers. The communication unit may associate with a wireless network using the mapping for one or more of the active channels having a selected network identifier. For associations and reassociations with wireless networks, the communication unit may selectively scan the channels having mapping stored in a table to more quickly identify active channels and thereby reduce scan time. In some embodiments, an access point may perform channel-width measurements and radar detection using the bitmap.

摘要: A client-server session is automatically initiated between a client-type device an a cloud-based server in a cloud-based computing environment based on user-defined parameters, thereby providing convenience and ease of use for a user for uploading, sharing and downloading media content to and from a content-sharing website. A user-preference database stores user-preference information, such as information relating to media-content-type information, media-content-source information, media-content-destination information, user-uploading-preference information, and/or uplink-network-preference and downlink-network-preference information. A rule is generated for uploading and/or downloading a designated media-content type to the content-sharing website based on the stored user preference information and at least one calendar event available from a calendar application. An event trigger signal is generated if the conditions of the rule are satisfied, and a communication controller then establishes a communication link to the content-sharing website and uploads and/or downloads the designated media content.
