Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing beam information for secondary cell beam failure recovery in a wireless communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a wireless link, according to which the wireless device may be configured to communicate using a primary cell and a secondary cell. The wireless device may detect beam failure on the secondary cell. The wireless device may send an indication of the beam failure recovery to the cellular base station. The wireless device may receive information configuring candidate transmit beam reference signals for performing beam recovery on the secondary cell. The wireless device may perform beam identification and report on any new transmit beam(s) identified by the wireless device.

Abstract: Devices and methods of using xSS are generally disclosed. A UE receives an xPSS with (Nrep) symbols each with a subcarrier spacing of K x a PSS subcarrier spacing and a duration of a PSS symbol/K. PSD subcarriers surround the xPSS and the ZC sequence is punctured to avoid transmission on a DC subcarrier. Guard subcarriers separate the xPSS and PSD when the ZC sequence is less than the occupied BW of the xPSS and at least one element in the ZC sequence is punctured for xPSS symbol generation otherwise. One or more xSSSs and xS-SCHs may follow the xPSS. The xSS may be omnidirectional, each having a same xPSS and different xSSS or xS-SCH or a different xPSS and same xSSS or xS-SCH or beamformed, each having different xPSSs and xSSSs or xS-SCHs or a same xPSS and different xSSS or xS-SCH.

Abstract: A network device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), or a new radio NB (gNB)) can process or generate a configuration of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring in different search spaces sets independently from one another in order to manage different services optimally. A processor of the network device can be configured to receive physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates of a PDCCH in a slot for channel estimation across search spaces of the slot. Different priorities can be determined among the PDCCH candidates in the slot based on a priority rule. Then a number of PDCCH candidates can be skipped/dropped from monitoring based on the different priorities of the PDCCH candidates to ensure that a threshold level of blind decoding operations across a plurality of slots of the PDCCH is being satisfied. The UE can monitor a portion of the PDCCH candidates while concurrently skipping another.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for performing beam selection. An embodiment operates by receiving, from a base station, a request for a report for at least one uplink beam. In response, the embodiment generates the report for the at least one uplink beam. The report for the at least one uplink beam can include an indication that a resource corresponding to the at least one uplink beam is available for uplink beam indication. The resource can be a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) resource or a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) resource. The embodiment transmits the report for the at least one uplink beam to the base station. The embodiment then receives, from the base station, an indication that the at least one uplink beam is selectable for uplink transmission based on the report for the uplink beam.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for facilitating retransmission procedures in New Radio (NR) technologies. Some embodiments are directed to a method that includes determining a contention window size (CWS) of an uplink/downlink (UL/DL) communication channel in a new radio unlicensed (NR-U) spectrum. The method also includes adjusting the CWS based on: defining a reference UL/DL burst set at a predetermined time length independent from a subcarrier spacing and partially spanning an UL/DL burst, and counting one or more code block groups (CBGs) in the reference UL/DL burst. The method further includes scheduling a retransmission of an UL/DL communication in the NR-U spectrum based on the adjusted CWS.

Abstract: An approach is described for a user equipment (UE) to provide contention-based beam failure operation in a second cell (SCell), where the UE includes processor circuitry and radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to encode a first message including a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ), wherein the BFRQ is indicative of a beam failure, and to decode a second message from a gNB, wherein the second message includes a beam failure recovery (BFR) response responsive to the BFRQ. The processor circuitry is further configured to encode a third message including a UE identification (ID) in response to decoding the second message, and to decode a fourth message from the gNB, wherein the fourth message includes collision handling for beam failure recovery by the UE. The radio front end circuitry is coupled to the processor circuitry, and the radio front end circuitry is configured to transmit the first message and the third message to the gNB, and to receive the second message and the fourth message from the gNB.

The PUCCH resource group configuration can include a configuration for a first group of PUCCH resources associated with the first TRP and a second group of PUCCH resources associated with the second TRP.
