Abstract:
A receptacle having a lid or door can be provided with a damper configured to slow the movement of the lid or door from the open position to its closed position. As such, the lid closes in a more aesthetically pleasing manner, for example, closing slowly enough so that it does not create an excessively loud noise when it closes. Additionally, the damper can be mounted to the base of the receptacle, thereby more securely mounting the damper within the receptacle. Additionally, the damper can be arranged to allow a liner within the receptacle to be held in an elevated position for simplifying a process of inserting or removing a trash bag into the liner.
Abstract:
A soap dispensing assembly has a container housing having an interior that retains soap. The container housing has an opening which communicates with the interior. A pump unit secured to the top of the container housing at a location separate from the opening. The pump unit includes a dispensing assembly through which soap from the interior is dispensed. A lid that is removably coupled to the opening to allow for a quick replenishment of the soap without having to remove the pump unit. The pump unit can also include an actuator that has a soap outlet, with the actuator is pivoted to draw soap from the interior of the container housing to the soap outlet.
Abstract:
A trash can assembly has a lid pivotably coupled to an upper end of an outer shell, and a pivoting pedal bar that is coupled to the lid via a link rod. The closing motion of the lid is dampened by counter-balancing the closing force of the lid, which can be accomplished by generating a counter-balance force against the pedal bar that is equal to or slightly less than the closing force of the lid. The counter-balance force can be made to vary during the closing motion of the lid. In addition, the entire link rod can be positioned inside the interior of the outer shell, and the pivot axis of the lid about the outer shell can also positioned inside the interior of the outer shell.
Abstract:
A cover for portable, standalone dispensing boxes of disposable wipes, such as boxed cut and folded tissue wipes. A blocking mechanism is provided to hold the dispensing box in place in the cover. A barrier is provided to prevent the dispensing box from falling out of the cover through the opening at the base of the cover. The cover is portable, which is not attached to any structure. The cover may be made of a rigid material, or a flexible material on a rigid frame.
Abstract:
A receptacle having a lid can be provided with a pair of dampers configured to slow the movement of the lid from its open position toward its closed position. The dampers can be provided at opposite ends of a pedal connected to the receptacle body at opposite lateral positions relative to a side of the receptacle body. The receptacle can also include an air filtration device mounted in its lid and configured to guide air through the filter device during the downward motion of the lid. The receptacle can also include at least one damper configured to provide dampening forces against the motion of the lid in both opening and closing directions. The receptacle can also include an anti-sliding device configured to increase the receptacle's resistance to sliding across a floor when a user steps on a pedal to actuate the lid.
