Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate handling of scheduling requests. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from a scheduling request procedure involving multiple scheduling request configurations. A method can include transmitting, by a device, a first scheduling request at a first time. The method can also include setting, by the device, a timer from the first time prohibiting subsequent scheduling requests for a predetermined duration based on the transmission of the first scheduling request. The method can further include Identifying, by the device, a trigger for a new scheduling request subsequent to the first scheduling request. The method can additionally include modifying the timer based on the new scheduling request.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solution for determining a contention resolution timer. In an aspect, a first device receives, from a second device, an indication to perform Msg3 transmission. The first device transmits, to the second device, information of the first device for contention resolution. In case a configuration of a 4-step random access channel is unavailable in an active bandwidth part for the first device, the first device determines a duration for monitoring a contention resolution message based on one of: a first configuration of a 2-step random access channel in the active bandwidth part, or a second configuration of a 4-step random access channel in a bandwidth part different from the active bandwidth part. Example embodiments of the present disclosure can improve the performance of a random access procedure.

Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus. The apparatus comprises means for using a first random access type in a random access procedure; and in response to determining that a threshold number of failed random access attempts has been reached using the first random access type, determining whether to switch to using a second random access type which is different from the first random access type.

Abstract: A method is provided including determining a mapping of a scheduling request to one or more logical channels configured for a user equipment; in response to a received scheduling request, allocating an uplink radio resource such that a transmission time interval of the allocated uplink radio resource has a length corresponding to length of a transmission time interval configured for the mapped one or more logical channels; and receiving data on the allocated uplink radio resource. A further method includes transmitting a scheduling request mapped to one or more logical channels configured for a user equipment; receiving an allocation of an uplink radio resource wherein a transmission time interval of the allocated uplink radio resource has a length corresponding to length of a transmission time interval configured for the mapped one or more logical channels; and sending data on the allocated uplink radio resource.

Abstract: A method is provided including receiving, by a user equipment from a wireless network, an indication of a plurality of contention based transmission occasions and a monitoring window size that the user equipment monitors for feedback for the contention based transmission; determining, by a user equipment of a wireless network, whether an amount of user data can be transmitted on one or more of contention based transmission occasions; performing one or more contention based transmissions during the one or more of the contention based transmission occasions based at least on the determination; and monitoring for feedback for each of the performed contention based transmissions based at least on the monitoring window size, wherein the feedback includes feedback for each contention based transmission in a feedback mapping window.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of blind user equipment (UE) specific timing advance group (TAG) indication. The method comprises: determining, at a first apparatus, whether an association between at least one TAG associated with a SpCell of the first apparatus and respective one or more indices in an RAR is obtained from a second apparatus; and determining, based on the determination of the association, an applicability of the RAR for a random access procedure of the first apparatus.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable mediums for paging information and paging-related actions. A terminal device may receive via a first cell first paging information related to a second cell or another carrier of the first cell, and to perform a paging-related action via the second cell or said another carrier based on the first paging information. Synchronization signals are not transmitted in the second cell or said another carrier. The paging-related action may include monitoring for second paging information in the second cell or said another carrier if the first paging information includes a paging early indication, a wake-up signal, or a scheduling message for scheduling a paging message, or performing at least one action for transferring information via the second cell or said another carrier if the first paging information includes a paging message or a wake-up signal.
