    Abstract: A method for joining a first conduit section having a longitudinally extending open first end and an inner surface with a second conduit section having a longitudinally extending end and an outer surface is provided. The method comprises: a) inserting a first end of the second conduit section in the open first end of the first conduit section and forming a fluid tight seal between the first and second conduit sections; and, b) bonding at least a portion of the inner surface of the first conduit section to at least a portion of the outer surface of the second conduit section.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber provided in an air flow path. The cyclone chamber has a screen assembly with an outlet section, a longitudinally spaced apart distal section and a longitudinally extending porous section. The outlet section includes a non-porous member extending longitudinally inwardly an outlet section length from an outlet end of the outlet section to a longitudinally inwardly positioned inlet end of the outlet section. The outlet end of the outlet section overlies a cyclone air outlet. The porous section extends longitudinally inwardly from an outlet end of the porous section that is located at the inlet end of the outlet section. The inlet end of the outlet section has a width in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction that is greater than a width of the outlet end of the porous section in the transverse direction.

    Abstract: An upright surface cleaning apparatus comprises a surface cleaning head and an upright section. The surface cleaning head has rear wheels having a diameter and a central longitudinal axis extending between the front and rear ends. The upright section is movably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a generally upright position and a rearwardly inclined in use position. The upright section has an air treatment member assembly comprising an air treatment member, a dirt collection region wherein at least a portion of the dirt collection region is exterior to and laterally spaced with respect to the air treatment member and a housing having a suction motor therein. The diameter of the rear wheels is greater than a depth of the portion of the dirt collection region in a direction of the central longitudinal axis.
