摘要: A seal assembly seals first and second operational surfaces spaced apart by a gap. The first surface includes a seal groove having a base surface and first and second side surfaces. A sealing element in the seal groove has a foot portion extending parallel to the base surface which engages the second operational surface. A leg portion extending from the foot portion toward the base surface has first and second surfaces. A back-up ring adjacent to the sealing element prevents extrusion of the sealing element into the gap. A first side of the back-up ring mates with the second surface of the leg portion, and a second side mates with one of the first and second side surfaces of the seal groove. An energizer element located between the base surface and the foot portion applies uniform pressure to the leg and foot portions when the energizer element is compressed.

摘要: A brake assembly includes a caliper having a first side portion connected to a second side portion by two circumferentially spaced bridge arms. The brake assembly includes a first brake pad and a second brake pad that are interchangeable and each having first and second circumferential ends. Each of the first and second brake pads have a pad formation remote from the first and second circumferential ends. The first brake pad is fitted in the first side portion of the caliper with the pad formation of the first brake pad engaging a caliper formation of the first portion side of the caliper for transferring braking torque loads from the first brake pad to the first side portion of the caliper. The second brake pad is fitted in the second side portion of the caliper with the first and second circumferential ends of the second brake pad engaging respective first and second circumferentially spaced abutments of the brake assembly for transferring braking torque loads from the second brake pad to the brake assembly.

摘要: A brake assembly includes a caliper, a brake pad, an actuator to force the brake pad into engagement with a rotor and an adjuster mechanism to compensate for wear of the brake pad. The adjuster mechanism includes a rotating component that rotates substantially in proportion to wear of the brake pad and is manually operable to deadjust the adjuster mechanism when replacement of the brake pad is required. The rotating component is operably coupled to a pad wear indicator mounted on the caliper which visually indicates an amount of brake pad wear.

摘要: A computer manufacturing system is disclosed. The computer manufacturing system comprises a system under test (SUT), the SUT including a network adapter and a boot loader for loading the appropriate operating system. The SUT further includes a station for receiving customer orders for the SUT, the station including a sequencer. The sequencer obtains a boot selection file for the SUT from a directory. The SUT further retrieves and parses the boot selection file to obtain the operating system image to load and boot until the SUT is configured with the appropriate date. A system and method in accordance with the present invention provides a means for a computer being manufactured (hereinafter called a system under test, or SUT) to boot an operating system without the need for any local media. In addition, it allows the SUT to boot any one of several operating systems as required, depending on the tools being run during that portion of the process. The system in accordance with the present invention allows the operating system to be specified as an attribute of a manufacturing operation. The system in accordance with the present invention can switch between operating systems as required by the operations to be performed as specified by the appropriate personnel.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed to provide security for user input in which a first, host operating system is used along with a second, high assurance operating system, where the first system provides at least some of the infrastructure for the second system. Two modes are presented. In a first mode, user data is passed to the host operating system. In a second mode, user data is retained in the second operating system for the use of the second operating system or processes running on the second operating system. Transitions between the nodes can be accomplished according to hypothecated user actions such as keystroke combinations, or when the user performs an action which indicates a programmatic activation of a process running in the second operating system. Where shadow graphical elements are run by the first operating system to indicate the location of graphical elements from processes running on the second operating system, this programmatic activation may be indicated by programmatic activation of a shadow graphical element.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed to provide security for user output and input in which a first, host operating system is used along with a second, high assurance operating system (nexus), where the first system provides at least some of the infrastructure for the second system. A trusted UI engine has a trusted input manager and a trusted output manager. The trusted input manager controls access to trusted input, distributing decrypted input to the host operating system where appropriate, or to the appropriate process running in the nexus. The trusted output manager manages output to the display, and allows trusted agents in the nexus to output data for display without needing to be aware of output-device-dependent details.

摘要: A stowable vehicle seat for a vehicle includes a seat base that is slideably connected to the vehicle. The seat is moveable between a first position and a second position adjacent a storage area. The seat base has a seat back rotatably connected thereto that allows the seat back to rotate between a normally up position and a folded down position. The seat base also has a pivot hinge located on an underside thereof that allows the seat base to pivot when the seat is located in the second position from a flat position to an upright position such that the seat is at least partially disposed in a rear quarter panel of the vehicle.
