Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission with precoding. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a SRS configuration that configures one or more SRS resource sets, each resource set including one or more SRS resources, each SRS resource comprising one or more SRS ports. The UE receives a set of precoders via an indicator, the set of precoders including a precoder associated with each SRS resource and determines one or more precoders to apply for one or more SRS transmissions via one or more of the SRS resources.

Abstract: A base station may determine co-phase information and uplink precoding information (e.g., user equipment (UE) precoder information) based on one or more received sounding reference signals (SRSs) from a UE. The UE may adjust precoders or co-phase for different SRS transmissions over the one or more configured SRS resources. As such, the base station may indicate either co-phase information or uplink precoding information via an SRS resource indicator (SRI), and may transmit an explicit indication of the remaining co-phase information or uplink precoding information in addition to the SRI. In other examples (e.g., when only a single SRS resource is configured), the base station may transmit an index corresponding to uplink precoding information, as well as a separate indication of co-phase information. In some cases, a port selection pattern may be included with an explicit indication, indicating a selection of antenna port indices the precoder or co-phase index applies to.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for grouping demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequences for uplink transmission without grant based on one or more of cross correlation of sequences, the cubic metric or peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In accordance with this technique, the power control for transmissions of DMRS can also be exploited to enhance sequence grouping. Features of the present disclosure may prepare a composite sequence that is generated by concatenating two base sequences. In this instance, the base station may provide UEs with a pool of base sequences. For transmission of DMRS, the UEs may select two base sequences that may be transmitted in two consecutive slots or two DMRS symbols in a slot. By allowing the UE to select two base sequences, the network may reduce the probability of a collision that may occur when two UEs select the same base sequence.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first network node, such as a user equipment (UE), may receive a first model configured to predict at least one of time-domain characteristics or spatial-domain characteristics associated with a set of channel measurement resources (CMRs). The first network node may generate first measurement information corresponding to a first quantity of CMRs of the set of CMRs and may input the first measurement information into the first model. The first network node may obtain, as an output of the first model, first predicted information corresponding to a second quantity of CMRs of the set of CMRs, receive signals using the second quantity of CMRs, and generate second measurement information corresponding to the second quantity of CMRs. The first network node may train the first model with the second measurement information and transmit the trained first model to a second network node.
